Campanero’s trailer does not expand one tent from two people to six. It uses a shared wheeled base with interchangeable tent and living-space modules: choose Pah-Pah for two, Eck-Oh for two to four, or Char-Lee for two to six. Campanero says the living space unzips from the base and can be exchanged without tools; its listed Char-Lee capacity is six, though the current product page does not confirm immediate delivery.
How does the Campanero modular trailer work?
The system has one trailer base and three tent-and-interior configurations: Pah-Pah, Eck-Oh and Char-Lee. Rather than stretching or unfolding a small tent into a larger one, you detach one living-space module and fit another. Campanero says the modules connect to the base with a continuous zipper, and that each listed living-space module fits each Campanero base.

The manufacturer says owners can make the change themselves without tools or a dealer. That describes the intended system; the published material does not independently establish setup time, durability or long-term performance. Campanero also says its models support sleeping lengthwise or crosswise.
How many people fit in each configuration?
Campanero lists Pah-Pah for two people, Eck-Oh for two to four, and Char-Lee for two to six. These are the manufacturer’s stated capacities, not a measure of how much space each person will have. The published figures separate the sleeping cabin from the living area and awning.

The Pah-Pah product page also lists 1,507 litres of storage. Char-Lee has an optional extra sleeping cabin. Its listed capacity of up to six does not mean six people share a 5.5 m² living area: that figure is the living space, while the 11.5 m² figure is the awning.
Can you change a Pah-Pah into an Eck-Oh or Char-Lee?
Campanero’s modular page says any listed living-space module fits every Campanero base, so the configurations are presented as interchangeable. It does not publish a module-only exchange price. The cost depends on the selected living space, and Campanero directs customers to request a calculation from the company or a dealer.

In practical terms, this is a way to select a different configuration as your camping needs change, not a one-step expansion at the campsite. Check with Campanero or a dealer about the exact module, base compatibility and quote for your situation.

Campanero’s product pages list indicative starting prices including VAT: €13,950 for Pah-Pah, €16,950 for Eck-Oh and €18,950 for Char-Lee. These are starting prices, not a published price for swapping modules. Confirm the current configuration, included equipment and final quotation with Campanero or an authorized dealer.

Is the six-person Char-Lee available now?
The current official Char-Lee page lists capacity up to six and an indicative starting price, but also says “In het najaar te zien” (“to be seen in autumn”). That wording does not confirm immediate delivery, so ask the manufacturer or dealer about viewing and delivery timing before making plans.

The listed weights are 320 kg for Pah-Pah, 370 kg for Eck-Oh and 375 kg for Char-Lee, each including the awning and poles. Treat these as published product figures, not a substitute for checking the actual configured trailer, payload, hitch load and the towing vehicle’s permitted limits. Requirements vary by vehicle and jurisdiction.

Campanero describes Pah-Pah as suitable for electric vehicles and lists a standard 750 kg load rating, with upgrades to 1,000 or 1,300 kg on registration. These are manufacturer claims, not confirmation that a particular EV can tow the trailer. Check the vehicle’s permitted trailer mass and payload, the trailer’s actual configuration and applicable local rules.
