That account comes from Clockify’s customer story and quotes Adesso Spain COO Marc Carreras; it describes the team’s workflow, not independently measured proof of productivity gains.
What Adesso Spain needed from project planning
In Clockify’s customer story, Carreras says Adesso Spain previously relied on Excel spreadsheets and other less integrated tools. He describes those options as lacking automation and real-time visibility. The team wanted a clearer view of time spent across tasks and projects so it could allocate resources more effectively.

The story identifies Adesso Spain as an IT consulting firm working across multiple projects. It lists 86 employees for the Spain business and says the wider Adesso Group has more than 10,000 employees in over 60 countries. The customer story does not date those figures, so they should not be read as current headcounts. Clockify’s Adesso Spain customer story
How the team says it used Clockify
Track time against tasks, projects, and clients
The team categorized work by project and client and recorded time against tasks and projects, according to the account. Carreras says this gave the company “greater control over hours worked.” In planning terms, that creates a record of where work is going, which can help managers assess workloads and make resource-allocation decisions.

Set approximate task and project estimates
Carreras says the team used Clockify’s estimation functionality to define approximate times for tasks and projects. Estimates provide a reference point: comparing planned time with recorded time can help a team monitor progress and make later estimates more informed. The customer story describes this as an approximate planning practice, not a claim that estimates became more accurate by a measured amount.
Review reports to assess work and resources
Adesso Spain says it used reports to measure efficiency and optimize resources. The story refers to detailed, weekly, and summary reports. Reviewing recorded time at different levels can help teams spot where effort is accumulating and consider whether assignments or plans need adjustment. The account does not specify a particular report configuration or quantify the effect of these reviews.

What this workflow can—and cannot—show
The case describes a practical loop: organize work by project and task, compare recorded time with approximate estimates, then review the resulting data when considering progress and resource needs. For an IT consultancy handling multiple projects, this can make work patterns easier to inspect than relying on disconnected records, as Carreras characterizes Adesso Spain’s earlier approach.
Clockify’s current product pages describe broader planning features, including setting up projects and tasks, scheduling assignments, forecasting from scheduled and tracked hours, and analyzing progress. Its forecasting page also describes comparing tracked time and expenses with estimates. Those pages explain general Clockify capabilities; the Adesso Spain account does not establish that the company used every feature described. Clockify planning and Clockify project forecasting
