How a Multi-Agent Pipeline Tries to Verify Accessibility Findings

MAD Platform’s author describes a multi-stage accessibility workflow that verifies Analyst proposals against screenshots and retrieved WCAG criteria. The account explains the architecture, but reports no benchmark proving its accuracy.

A multi-agent accessibility pipeline can make findings more reviewable by separating discovery from verification. In Vipul P’s September 21, 2026 DEV Community account of MAD Platform, an Analyst proposes issues from rendered pages, code checks and semantic review; a separate Editor then checks each proposal against a screenshot and retrieved Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) criteria. That is a design description, not evidence that the system eliminates hallucinations or achieves a measured accuracy rate.

What the pipeline is designed to do

The problem MAD Platform’s author sets out to address is a familiar one for site owners: a scan can produce findings that still need context and verification. The post describes a workflow that gathers evidence from a rendered site, proposes possible accessibility issues, and subjects those proposals to a second review before reporting them.

Vipul P summarizes the approach as a system that “crawls, visualizes, verifies via RAG, and outputs production-ready fixes.” That is the author’s characterization. The post does not provide independent validation of production readiness, the accuracy of findings, or the quality of generated fixes.

How the stages fit together

1. Render pages and collect evidence

The described pipeline uses Playwright for headless browser rendering, screenshots and computed-style extraction. Rendering is intended to give later stages evidence about how a page appears and behaves, rather than relying only on static source.

  • WORK SEAMLESSLY: This sleek monitor is virtually bezel-free on three sides, so the screen looks even bigger for the viewer. This minimalistic design also allows for seamless multi-monitor setups that enhance your workflow and boost productivity
  • A BETTER READING EXPERIENCE: For busy office workers, EasyRead mode provides a more paper-like experience for when viewing lengthy documents

2. Have the Analyst propose issues

The Analyst stage is described as combining three approaches: deterministic checks such as raw contrast and missing form labels; semantic review of layout hierarchy and ARIA roles; and visual reasoning over rendered screenshots. These are complementary kinds of evidence, but a proposed finding is still provisional at this point.

3. Have the Editor verify each proposal

A separate Editor agent checks Analyst findings against a screenshot and relevant WCAG success criteria retrieved from a curated knowledge base. The author says confirmed issues move to the Reporter stage, while dismissed findings receive an audited reason. Retrieval is meant to put applicable standards text in front of the Editor instead of relying on model memory alone; the post does not demonstrate that retrieval or model judgment is always correct.

4. Report confirmed findings

Confirmed issues can be exported as Jira CSV or HTML, according to the post. Keeping proposals separate from confirmed findings gives a report a clearer status distinction than presenting every initial detection as established fact.

5. Review dismissal patterns over time

The author describes a weekly Cloud Run Job named pattern-miner that reviews human dismissal logs, looks for recurring false-alarm patterns and adds patterns to system grounding. This is a feedback mechanism in the design, not a demonstrated improvement: the post reports no before-and-after accuracy measurements or other outcome for the job.

How this differs conceptually from a single-pass scan

The comparison below describes the contrast presented in the post. “MAD Platform design” refers to the author’s account, not to an independently tested system.

Aspect Single-pass static scan (conceptual contrast) MAD Platform design described by the author
Evidence gathered Rule findings Deterministic checks, semantic review and screenshot-based visual reasoning, with Playwright rendering
Finding status Findings may appear directly in a report Analyst proposals are checked by an Editor before confirmed issues are reported
Standards context No retrieval step is described in the contrast Relevant WCAG success-criteria text is retrieved for the Editor
False-positive handling The post characterizes noisy findings as a concern Dismissed proposals receive an audited reason, according to the author
Learning from review No review-feedback loop is described in the contrast A weekly job is said to mine human dismissal logs for recurring patterns

This is an architectural comparison, not a benchmark. The post supplies no controlled comparison, false-positive rate, sample size, accuracy result, scan-volume figure or cost measurement. It therefore cannot establish that MAD Platform outperforms other scanners.

What the post does—and does not—establish

The useful idea is the separation of discovery and verification: generate candidate issues from different evidence sources, then require a distinct review stage to check them against page evidence and relevant standards text. Logging dismissals and reviewing them later also makes feedback part of the proposed design.
