Yes, historically: Hutch Games released Hot Wheels: Race Off for Android in October 2016 and for iPhone and iPad later that year. The original was a physics-based racer built around orange Hot Wheels tracks, jumps, loops, boosters, car upgrades and competitive play.
That does not establish a normal download today. Current evidence does not confirm an official Google Play or U.S. App Store listing for the original app. Apple users may instead find Hot Wheels™: Race Off+, a separate Hutch listing associated with Apple Arcade. Treat old “available on Android and iOS” articles as historical launch coverage, not a guarantee that the original app can still be installed.
What the original Hot Wheels: Race Off was
Hutch Games developed and published the original mobile game. Its Android release is recorded as October 13, 2016, while official launch material dated December 21, 2016 described the game as available on iOS and Android. A release record also lists iPhone, iPad and tvOS versions during 2016–2017: MobyGames release record.
The game used side-view, physics-driven racing rather than conventional lap racing. Players guided licensed Hot Wheels cars over orange track sections, balancing acceleration and landings through loops, jumps and ramps. Is the original game available to download now?
The safest current answer is not confirmed through the ordinary official stores. Search evidence does not establish a live Google Play listing for the original title, and it does not confirm that the original Hutch app is normally searchable in the U.S. App Store. Availability can still vary by country, account history, device and operating-system version.

An App Store result named simply “Race Off” is not proof that Hutch’s game remains available. One such listing is a monster-truck stunt game, unrelated to Hot Wheels: unrelated Race Off listing. Reviews on another similarly named listing nostalgically mention the old Hot Wheels game and say it had been discontinued, but those comments are anecdotal rather than an official shutdown notice: App Store listing and user reviews.

What is Hot Wheels™: Race Off+?
Race Off+ is the current Hutch-branded listing found in the evidence, not confirmation that the 2016 app has simply been renamed. Hutch describes it with 30 Hot Wheels cars, 60 physics-based tracks, boosters, loops, jumps, upgrades and Game Center leaderboards: Hutch’s game page.
The researched App Store listing is for iPhone and iPad and specifies iOS/iPadOS 13 or later. How to check whether you can legitimately restore the original
- Search your account history. On Android, check the Google Play library or previously installed apps under the Google account used in 2016. On Apple devices, check App Store purchase history and the Purchased section under the same Apple Account.
- Search the full developer-and-title combination. Look for “Hot Wheels: Race Off” and “Hutch Games,” not just “Race Off.” A generic result can be a different game.
- Check older hardware. If the game remains installed on an old phone or tablet, avoid deleting it before checking whether it launches. A surviving installation does not prove that online services still operate.
- Consider backups only within the platform’s normal tools. A device backup may restore an app in some circumstances, but current operating-system compatibility, account region and store policy can prevent restoration.

- Verify the exact title: Hot Wheels: Race Off or Hot Wheels™: Race Off+.
- Check that the developer is Hutch Games Ltd.
- Look for official Hot Wheels branding and licensed car artwork.
- Read the store’s publisher, platform and compatibility information before installing.
- For Race Off+, confirm whether Apple Arcade access is offered in your country and whether your device meets the listed iOS/iPadOS requirement.

What may still work if you already have the old app?
There is no verified current status for the original game’s servers. An existing installation might launch offline, but online multiplayer, global competition, cloud saves, advertising, purchases or account services may be unavailable. Modern Android and iOS updates can also break older software. Treat every result as device- and account-dependent rather than assuming that another player’s installation will behave the same way.
Bottom line for Android and iPhone users
The statement that Hot Wheels: Race Off was available on Android and iOS is accurate for its 2016 launch. It is too broad as a present-day download claim. Check your official Google Play or Apple purchase history for the original app; otherwise, do not install a similarly named title or an unofficial APK. Apple users may find the newer Race Off+ listing, but it is a separate current offering, its regional availability can change, and no Android version is established by the available evidence.
