Neither host is an evidence-based universal winner. In the published U.S. offers reviewed on October 7, 2026, HostPapa Essentials allows one website and advertises 25 GB of storage on a three-year introductory term. The right choice depends on site count, backup needs, and the checkout and renewal prices for your exact term—not a claim that one host is faster.
What the published U.S. plans cost
The figures below come from the providers’ U.S. pages as retrieved October 7, 2026. Prices, terms, and offers can vary by country, currency, eligibility, and checkout. The introductory price is promotional.

| Plan | Displayed introductory rate and commitment | Upfront total | Published renewal |
|---|---|---|---|
| HostPapa Essentials | $2.95/month on a three-year discounted term | Not stated on the captured plan page; confirm the checkout total | Not stated for Essentials on the captured page |
Check the checkout total and renewal cost for the exact term you intend to buy, rather than treating a promotional monthly figure as a like-for-like price.
HostPapa’s renewal table was last modified March 24, 2026. It lists annual amounts for services with names such as Basic Hosting and Business Hosting, but those may be legacy plan names and cannot safely be treated as the current Essentials renewal price. Ask HostPapa or check the current account and checkout terms for the renewal that applies to Essentials.

How the entry plans differ
| Feature | HostPapa Essentials |
|---|---|
| Websites | 1 |
| Listed storage | 25 GB NVMe |
| Backups | Automated 1 GB backups free for the first year; the plan page says trial duration varies by selected term |
| Domain | Select extensions free for the first year |
| Migration and refund guarantee | Free migration and a 30-day money-back guarantee; domain fees are non-refundable |
| Security and support as described by provider | Basic Imunify360 security, SSL, CDN; HostPapa advertises 24/7 support |
These are provider-listed inclusions, not independent assessments of service quality. A free domain may be limited to eligible extensions, and backups have stated coverage and duration. Check the provider’s current terms for eligibility, restore access, and what happens after any introductory period.
Which host is better for multiple websites?
HostPapa Essentials lists one website on its entry plan. That allowance does not establish how the plan will perform under a particular workload. Check resource limits and whether your site’s traffic, software, and storage fit the plan before committing.
HostPapa’s higher tiers list more capacity: Growth is shown with five websites, 100 GB NVMe, and 2X resources; Premium is listed with 200 GB NVMe and 4X resources. Confirm the current plan comparison, applicable term, and checkout price before considering an upgrade.

Does more storage or NVMe mean better performance?
HostPapa Essentials lists 25 GB NVMe storage. That is advertised capacity and product labeling; it does not show how quickly the host loads pages. NVMe labels alone are not comparable performance tests.
Rank #3
The reviewed pages do not provide independent, comparable speed measurements or uptime results. HostPapa publishes a 99.9% uptime guarantee, which is a provider guarantee—not a measurement of observed uptime. No conclusion about comparative speed, reliability, or support quality follows from these claims.
How to choose based on your needs
- Choose based on site count: HostPapa Essentials lists one website. If you need more than one site, verify that the allowance and plan resources fit your actual setup.
- Choose based on listed storage: HostPapa Essentials advertises 25 GB. Treat this as a capacity figure, not a speed verdict.
- Choose based on backup needs: HostPapa Essentials lists automated 1 GB backups free for the first year, with term-dependent trial duration. Compare cadence, capacity, restore options, and duration against your recovery needs.
- Choose based on the full cost: Compare the exact upfront total, commitment length, renewal price, and any eligible domain or backup terms in your locale. HostPapa’s captured Essentials page does not establish its renewal figure.
- Choose based on migration details: Before switching, confirm what migration covers, who handles any downtime, domain-transfer costs, and refund eligibility. Provider migration and refund statements are subject to their current terms.
What to verify before checkout
- Set the provider’s country or locale to your billing location and select the plan and term you actually intend to purchase.
- Record the total due now, term length, renewal price and frequency, and any taxes or add-ons shown at checkout.
- Confirm the number of websites and storage included in that exact plan, along with any resource limits relevant to your sites.
- Read the backup terms for capacity, schedule, restore access, and how long the inclusion lasts.
- Check domain eligibility and renewal costs, migration scope, cancellation steps, and refund exclusions before transferring an existing site.
