Whether it is the right choice depends on four things: the channels you need, your payment provider, your product model, and what you will pay after the introductory term ends. This review is based on Hostinger’s own pages and announcements plus independent reviews from Experte.com, HostAdvice and TechRadar. We did not run our own hands-on performance tests, so where a test is mentioned, it belongs to the reviewer who ran it.
Which Hostinger product this review covers
Hostinger sells several things that people loosely call “Hostinger ecommerce”: the newer standalone Hostinger Ecommerce platform, its Website Builder, and WooCommerce hosting. Their prices and limits differ. Some of the independent coverage you will find, including TechRadar’s April 2026 material, discusses the Website Builder and WooCommerce hosting. What Hostinger Ecommerce is
Hostinger describes the product as a platform for managing online sales. Its main selling points:

- Quick Links: you create a product page and checkout link from product photos and share it in messages or social posts, without building a full website first. Hostinger announced this on July 2, 2026.
- Branded storefront: built with Hostinger’s AI Builder, for sellers who want a fuller site.
- Dashboard: manages products, orders, customers, discounts, taxes and analytics.
- Product types: physical and digital products, subscriptions and gift cards.
- Payments: Hostinger advertises 100+ payment methods (company claim, product page, accessed October 5, 2026).
All of this is vendor-authored. The launch announcement does not provide independent evidence of conversion or performance. The quick-link approach does suit someone testing demand with an existing audience, such as followers or a mailing list, before committing to a full site. Confirm that both the link and storefront workflows, and each payment method, are available in your country and on your plan.

The Hostinger page we saw showed India-specific rupee pricing:

Hostinger noted that taxes may apply and that “unlimited” features are subject to a Fair Usage Policy. These are regional figures, not a US-dollar quote, so check the checkout page for your country, currency, term and current promotion.
Renewal is the number to watch. Experte.com describes the renewal price as roughly three times the initial price. HostAdvice describes several tiers (Starter, Growth and Scale) with different limits and renewal pricing. Those sources may refer to different markets and terms, so treat them as a reason to compare initial and renewal costs, not as a global price table. The review headline “Can you really run a store for $5/month?” is a good example of an introductory-price claim that needs this check.

“0% transaction fees” does not mean free payments
Hostinger claims no platform transaction fee. Your payment gateway can still charge its own processing fee, and currency conversion or other provider costs may apply. Add gateway rates to the subscription cost when you work out your margin.
What independent reviewers say
- HostAdvice walked through signup, onboarding and Store Manager setup, and ran GTmetrix speed checks against a sample storefront from several test locations. If you rely on its speed figures, note the date, page, location and conditions of that test. Your own store will differ.
- Experte.com presents the builder as accessible for budget-conscious sellers, but flags the jump from introductory to renewal pricing and the separate processor fees.
- TechRadar (2026) positions Hostinger as better suited to newer or smaller merchants than to those needing a broader set of advanced capabilities. That is an editorial judgment, not proof that any particular feature is missing.
How to decide if it fits
1. Sales workflow
If you want to sell a handful of items to an audience you already reach, a quick link may be enough. If you need search traffic, a branded catalogue and a full browsing experience, plan on the storefront.
2. Product model
Hostinger lists physical goods, digital goods, subscriptions and gift cards. Before you commit, test the exact workflow you need, such as recurring billing or digital delivery, since a feature listed on a product page can be implemented with limits.
3. Total cost
Add up the introductory price, renewal price, term length, taxes, platform fees (claimed 0%) and payment processor fees.
4. Scale and flexibility
Hostinger’s own 2026 comparison describes custom storefront connections through a public API. Check the current documentation and your plan’s eligibility before you plan a technical integration. If you expect to need many custom integrations, multiple businesses or advanced tooling, compare against more extensible platforms or WooCommerce hosting.
5. Evidence quality
Separate what Hostinger claims from what reviewers measured and from what you verify yourself. A free trial or the shortest billing term is a low-risk way to test checkout, payments and your own pages before taking a long term.
