Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

There you can review sender details and preview messages customers receive. Promotional emails are a separate path: they require marketing consent and a connection to Hostinger Reach.
How to find and configure store emails
- Open the email settings. In Store Manager, go to Store settings → Emails. Use Email previews to inspect the messages sent to customers. Dashboard labels can change as the product is updated.
- Set the sender name and address. Use your business or website name as the sender name. If customers should be able to reply, use an address connected to a real mailbox. A connected domain is needed for custom sender details.
- Authenticate the domain. Hostinger identifies SPF, DKIM, and DMARC as the DNS records used for sender authentication. Its instructions offer automatic configuration for Hostinger-managed domains; for external DNS providers, they describe copying the records into that provider and checking their status. Hostinger says DNS propagation can take up to 24 hours after records are added or changed: Hostinger support documentation.
- Check the message appearance. Email previews lets you review templates. New stores include the store logo by default; existing stores can enable it in email settings. Editing templates is a separate Reach integration feature, not a requirement for automatic order emails.
Custom sender setup with an external domain
Hostinger’s AI Builder email instructions conflict on this point. The main setup directions say custom sender configuration can be used with external domains if you add the DNS records manually, while a later note says it requires a connected Hostinger domain and is unavailable for non-Hostinger domains. If your domain’s DNS is managed elsewhere, check the current Store email settings or confirm with Hostinger support before relying on a custom sender.

Without a connected domain, Hostinger says transactional email uses [email protected]. That address is not a mailbox for customer replies.

Which messages are sent automatically, and when?
Order and customer transaction emails are automatic; you do not need to create a marketing campaign to send order confirmations. Hostinger says customers receive order confirmations after submitting an order, but timing can vary by order type and payment status.
#1 Best Overall
- New-order alerts: Store owners are notified at the contact address in store settings.
- Order confirmations and updates: Customers receive transactional messages associated with their orders.
- Shipping and tracking: A tracking email can be sent after you add a tracking number and URL and check the shipping email option.
- Appointments and digital downloads: Their notifications are tied to successful payment or the order being marked Paid. Check the relevant order and its email preview if a message has not arrived.
Transactional emails versus marketing campaigns
| Type | Purpose | What triggers it | Consent and setup |
|---|---|---|---|
| Transactional email | Order confirmations, status updates, and other messages about a customer’s transaction | Order activity, fulfillment, or payment status, depending on the message | Configured and previewed in Store settings → Emails; not a promotional subscriber campaign |
| Marketing email | Newsletters, promotional messages, and supported automations | A campaign or supported event, such as an abandoned cart or purchase | Requires marketing opt-in and a Reach connection for subscriber syncing and campaign features |
How to collect marketing consent and use Reach
- In Store Manager, open Store settings → Checkout and enable the email marketing opt-in checkbox.
- Make sure the Privacy Policy is included in checkout policies so shoppers can review it when choosing whether to subscribe.
- Connect the ecommerce integration in Hostinger Reach to sync subscribers who consented. Reach supports campaign and automation use cases tied to events such as abandoned carts and purchases.
Keep this path separate from order confirmations: enabling marketing consent is for promotional communication, not a prerequisite for transactional notices. Hostinger says editing transactional email templates through Reach requires a Hostinger Reach 500 or higher plan; check the current plan terms before subscribing.
