To show different content on desktop and mobile, duplicate it and adjust visibility in each view. Click Update website to publish your changes.
Hide an element or section
- Select the target: Open your site in manual mode and click the element or section you want to hide.
- Click the eye icon: For sections, select the section and use its Hide/Show control. Hostinger’s guide to adding and customizing sections describes the available section controls.
- Publish the change: Click Update website. Until you update the site, the change is not published. See Hostinger’s manual-mode troubleshooting guide.
Hostinger’s hide-elements guide lists exceptions to the general element-hiding instruction: the footer, online-store single-product and product-list sections, the blog, and the blog-post header. The standard eye-icon steps should not be assumed to apply to those items.

Show different content on desktop and mobile
Duplicate the element or section, then set visibility for each version in the relevant device view. For example, keep one version visible on desktop and the other on mobile. Hostinger’s troubleshooting guidance says to switch to mobile view and use the eye icon in the layers panel to hide an element on one device type. Its hide-elements guide also describes duplicating content for separate desktop and mobile presentations.
Choose the right action for the content
| What you want to change | Use this control | What it affects |
|---|---|---|
| Hide an element or section | Eye icon or section Hide/Show control | Visibility of that content in the site view. |
| Remove an element or section | Delete or trash control | Deletes the content rather than simply hiding it. Hostinger’s template customization guide treats deletion separately from hiding. |
| Keep a page out of the navigation menu | In Pages and navigation, open the page settings and choose Hide from navigation, or move the page to the hidden-from-navigation area | Hides the page link from the navigation; this is a page-level setting, not an element-visibility setting. Update the site to publish the change. See Hostinger’s navigation guide. |
| Change a page’s search-engine visibility | Use the page’s search-engine visibility settings | A separate setting from hiding a page in the navigation menu; hiding a navigation link does not itself change search-engine visibility. |
If you can’t find the eye icon
Controls can differ by content type, and Hostinger’s general instructions exclude the items listed above. The header also has its own documented eye-icon control in the header settings guide. If the control is missing or behaves differently in your editor, consult Hostinger support rather than assuming every account or builder version has identical controls.
