Steps to enable a manual payment method
- Open the store management area of your Hostinger AI Builder store.
- Go to Settings → Payments and click Add manual payment.
- Enter the method name customers will see at checkout. Hostinger’s examples are cash on delivery and bank transfer.
- Write the instructions customers need. For a bank transfer, Hostinger’s example is to give the receiving bank account number. These instructions show at checkout and in the order confirmation email.
- Tick Enable manual payment method at checkout, then save.
Hostinger’s older Website Builder article describes the same task under Store settings → Payments. If your menu labels differ from the current guide, you are probably looking at a different interface version or mode.

What happens when a customer pays manually
A new order placed with a manual method starts with an Awaiting payment status. Once you have confirmed that the money arrived, open the Orders page and change the status to Paid.
The status change controls what customers receive:
- Order confirmation emails are sent as soon as the order is created.
- Appointment confirmations and digital products are sent only after you mark the order Paid.
Turning on the checkout option does not verify any payment. Hostinger’s workflow leaves that check, and the status update, to you. That is our reading of the documented process, not a separate Hostinger statement.

Disabling or removing a manual method
To stop offering a method, go to Settings → Payments, manage the manual method and remove it. You can also clear the enablement checkbox so it no longer appears at checkout. After changing payment settings, update the website so the change goes live. See Hostinger’s removal guide.
Things to know before relying on it
- Manual versus online. Manual payment is one of the payment settings in the store setup, alongside online providers such as Stripe and Paysera (store setup guide). With a manual method, you confirm receipt. Payment isn’t completed during checkout.
- Examples, not a full list. Cash on delivery and bank transfer are Hostinger’s examples. They don’t show that every offline method is supported or suitable everywhere.
- Legal and tax rules. The setup documentation doesn’t say whether a given method complies with local law or tax rules. Check that for your own location.
- No extra equipment. The documented setup is purely a store setting.
- Currency changes. Hostinger’s payment troubleshooting guide says cash-on-delivery and bank-transfer methods don’t need to be removed before you change the store currency.
Write clear instructions: include the account details or delivery payment terms, and say when customers should pay. Those instructions are the only guidance buyers get.
