- Your website is built with Hostinger AI Builder in manual mode.
- Your app’s relevant store listing has your website set as its developer contact URL. Hostinger says AdMob uses the domain in that URL to locate the file; you do not need to enter the complete
app-ads.txtURL in the listing. - You can sign in to the AdMob account that manages the app and edit the website in Hostinger.
Connect AdMob in Hostinger AI Builder
- Create the file in AdMob. Sign in to AdMob and follow its instructions to create the app’s
app-ads.txtfile. - Copy the generated contents. Copy the file text from AdMob.
- Open the integration in Hostinger. In Hostinger AI Builder, open your website’s settings, go to Integrations, and find the Google AdMob field. Hostinger lists AdMob among the builder’s built-in integrations.
- Paste and publish. Paste the copied contents into the Google AdMob field, save your changes, and update the website so the change is live.
- Allow time for verification. Hostinger says AdMob’s crawl and verification can take up to 24 hours.
Use app-ads.txt, not ads.txt
This setup is for app-ads.txt, which relates to advertising inventory in an app. It is not the ads.txt workflow for website advertising described in Hostinger’s separate Google AdSense guide. Use the Google AdMob field and the file generated for your app; do not substitute an AdSense setup.
If AdMob does not verify the file
- Check that you copied the
app-ads.txtcontents generated in AdMob and pasted them into the Google AdMob integration field, not another advertising field. - Check the app-store listing’s developer contact URL. It should contain your website so AdMob can use its domain to discover the file.
- Make sure you saved the integration settings and updated the website. A saved but unpublished change may not be available on the live site.
- Allow up to 24 hours for AdMob to crawl and verify the file, as Hostinger advises.
- If your Hostinger interface looks different, consult Hostinger’s current manual-mode instructions; labels and service behavior may change.
