Enter the new domain and follow the on-screen steps. If the site still uses a temporary preview address, connect a real domain first; the dashboard may show Connect domain instead.
Change the domain in your Hostinger dashboard
- Sign in to Hostinger and open Websites.
- Find the AI Builder website whose domain you want to replace.
- Open the options menu beside that website and select Change domain.
- Enter the new domain and follow the instructions shown for your website.
- Publish the website after the new domain is connected so the change goes live.
Hostinger says the change-domain workflow is available for both manual and agentic mode. A domain purchased through Hostinger should appear in the change flow. You can also use a domain registered elsewhere, but it must be pointed to Hostinger first. See Hostinger’s AI Builder domain-change guide and its manual-mode domain connection instructions.

Point an externally registered domain to Hostinger
DNS setup depends on the site’s mode. For manual mode, Hostinger documents two options: change the domain’s nameservers to Hostinger’s, or keep DNS management at your current provider and add the CNAME records specified in Hostinger’s instructions. Nameservers move DNS-zone management to Hostinger; CNAME records leave it with your current provider.

1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFor manual mode, Hostinger says A records are not supported and can prevent the site from loading. Its guide also instructs users to remove existing root A and AAAA records before adding the required CNAME records, with connect.hostinger.com listed as the CNAME target. Follow the exact record values and steps in the current guide for your account: how to point a domain in manual mode.

Hostinger’s agentic-mode guide also describes connecting a domain through nameservers or CNAME records, but do not assume the manual-mode record instructions apply unchanged. Use the steps displayed for the specific site and mode in your dashboard. Hostinger’s guide for agentic-mode domain management covers that workflow.
Allow time for DNS changes and publish the site
Hostinger gives a propagation estimate of up to 24 hours for manual-mode DNS changes; the actual time for a particular DNS provider is not established in its guide. After connecting the domain, publish the website. If it does not load immediately, allow time for DNS changes to take effect and check that the records match the instructions for your mode. See Hostinger’s manual-mode DNS guide and connection guide.

Know what changes along with the domain
- Email: Changing the domain resets the email plan, and email data associated with the old domain will be lost. Back up any important email data before making the change.
- Subdomains: Subdomains under the old domain need to be updated manually. Hostinger documents separate instructions for connecting an AI Builder subdomain.
- Redirects: Hostinger says AI Builder does not have a built-in domain-redirection feature. If visitors need old URLs to lead to the new domain, plan a separate redirect through the domain menu in your Hostinger dashboard. Details are in the agentic-mode domain-management guide.
If “Change domain” is missing
Check whether the site still uses a temporary preview address. In that state, the Websites list may show Connect domain rather than Change domain. Connect a real domain first, then return to the site options. Hostinger describes the dashboard behavior in its Websites section guide.
Hostinger’s general article about changing the domain of an existing website mentions a possible 14-day restriction after a recent switch from another CMS to Website Builder, unless the previous website is restored. That guidance is for the broader Website Builder flow; it does not establish that the same restriction applies to AI Builder, so confirm with Hostinger if it appears relevant to your account: Connecting a different domain to your existing website.
