If you manage a site or hosting account, Hostinger Agent is built to work inside that environment; ChatGPT is the broader assistant for tasks beyond hosting. The comparison has an important wrinkle: OpenAI says its former ChatGPT agent mode is no longer available. ChatGPT Work and a separate Hostinger Connector are the current options described for multi-step work and supported Hostinger tasks.

What Hostinger Agent can do
Hostinger’s help documentation describes Agent as an assistant in its platform that can advise on and act on a Hostinger account. Listed uses include troubleshooting, adding or changing DNS records, domain and subdomain management, VPS configuration, website migration, and creating websites through its AI Builder. The same documentation describes file attachments and analysis, web search and page reading, image generation and editing, long-term memory with user controls, connections to external apps, file galleries, and version history. Hostinger says integrations can connect to more than 1,000 external tools, naming Google Sheets, Slack, Notion, and HubSpot as examples; that count is the company’s claim, not an independently audited measurement. Paid subscribers can select Fast or Advanced response modes.

For consequential operations such as deleting a record or making a purchase, Hostinger says Agent pauses to display a confirmation card. A confirmation step is useful, but it does not replace checking the details before approving an action.

Do not treat the former ChatGPT agent mode as a current option: OpenAI’s Help Center says it is no longer available and directs users to ChatGPT Work for longer multi-step tasks and deliverables, as well as to cloud-browser guidance for supported browser workflows. Product names and availability can change.
OpenAI’s pricing page lists Free, Go, Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise plans, with features varying by plan. Its matrix lists ChatGPT Work on desktop, web, and mobile for Plus and Pro; Free and Go show limited desktop-app availability. The matrix is dynamic, so check it for current country-specific prices and feature limits rather than assuming one price or entitlement applies everywhere. Check ChatGPT’s current plan matrix.

Using ChatGPT for supported Hostinger tasks
The Hostinger Connector provides a way to request certain account and website tasks through ChatGPT Work or Codex instead of using Agent in the hosting dashboard. OpenAI lists deploying a static site or Node.js app, installing and running WordPress, buying and configuring domains, editing DNS, administering a VPS, and setting up an online store. Access is not guaranteed for every user: OpenAI says availability depends on the plugin, plan, and workspace settings, and some connections require administrator setup or approval. A separate Hostinger plugin page demonstrates AI Builder tasks such as creating a business website or prototyping an internal tool. That AI Builder plugin is not the same thing as the broader Connector.

Choose Hostinger Agent for work centered on your hosting account
Agent is the more direct fit when you want assistance in Hostinger’s dashboard with hosting, DNS, domains, VPS settings, migrations, or AI Builder websites. Its business-focused agents and prebuilt skills may also suit users who prefer guided workflows. Hostinger describes these workflows; the available evidence does not establish that they produce better results than ChatGPT.
Choose ChatGPT for broader assistant use
If your work ranges across subjects and tools beyond hosting, compare the ChatGPT plan and features you would actually use with the particular tasks you want to complete. For supported Hostinger actions, the Connector may let you keep ChatGPT as your interface, provided your plan and workspace allow it.

Check access and usage before paying
Hostinger says its AI tools are plan-based and use product-specific credit systems. ChatGPT features also differ across plans. Compare your country, billing term, included features, credits, and likely usage—not just advertised plan names. Neither the official pages reviewed nor the available plan matrices establish a universal price comparison or a like-for-like performance result.
