A free scan shows the junk files, broken settings and background clutter dragging Windows down - then fixes them in one click.Free scan · Windows 10 & 11For a new buyer, Hosting.com is the more defensible choice based on the available official information: its shared plans and upgrade path are clearly described. Arvixe’s help pages document hosting options, but do not establish that new customers can currently order them. A fair price winner cannot be named without confirming Arvixe’s availability and comparing current checkout and renewal terms.
How do Hosting.com and Arvixe compare?
The key difference is how much a prospective customer can verify before buying. Hosting.com publishes a current shared-plan comparison; Arvixe’s official material is support documentation that may describe legacy offers. Neither provider’s published claims amount to an independent performance test.

| Decision point | Hosting.com | Arvixe |
|---|---|---|
| Current new-customer availability | Shared plans are described on the provider’s current pages; confirm the offer at checkout. | Official help pages do not establish whether new customers can currently order hosting. |
| Shared hosting site and storage limits | Starter: 5 websites and 15 GB NVMe storage; Pro: 10 websites and 50 GB; Max: 50 websites and 100 GB. | Help documentation says Personal and Business classes allow six websites; their Pro counterparts allow unlimited sites. A separate help page says Personal Class permits six websites/domains per account. |
| Platform and control panel | The package comparison describes a Hosting.com control panel. | Documentation describes Linux hosting with cPanel and Windows hosting with Website Panel. |
| Price evidence | The hosting page showed an advertised starting price of US$3.99 per month in a 2026 snapshot. It is not a verified renewal or like-for-like price. | Help documentation includes prices and ordering details, but does not establish current purchasability or comparable current terms. |
Hosting.com’s specifications are provider-published plan details, not independently verified results. Arvixe’s plan descriptions likewise establish what its documentation says, not what is currently available to buy.

What does Hosting.com currently document?
Its shared hosting comparison lists Starter, Pro, and Max plans with the site and storage limits shown above. The same page describes per-site isolation, LiteSpeed, and a route to managed servers. These are published features; they do not establish measured speed, uptime, or how a particular site will perform.
#1 Best Overall
The Hosting.com hosting page advertises LiteSpeed, NVMe storage, automated backups, migration help, security features, global data centers, and support. It displayed a starting price of US$3.99 per month in a page snapshot from 2026, alongside promotional savings language. Check the actual billing term, renewal amount, taxes, domain conditions, and refund rules in the offer before purchase; that snapshot does not show the total cost over time.
Check backup terms before relying on them
The hosting page describes daily backups and restore options for the last 30 days in one section, but weekly automatic backups in another. Because the page is internally inconsistent, confirm the frequency and restore terms for the specific plan rather than assuming one schedule applies universally.

What does Arvixe’s documentation establish?
Arvixe’s ordering help describes Personal and Business shared classes, reseller hosting, VPS, and dedicated hosting. It distinguishes Linux options using cPanel from Windows options using Website Panel. It says Personal and Business classes allow six websites, while their Pro counterparts allow unlimited sites.

A separate plan basics article says Personal Class permits six websites or domains per account and that domain registration is separate from the hosting plan. The ordering help also contains specific prices and order-flow details, but they may be legacy information. The documentation alone does not verify that the plans are currently for sale, what they cost now, or their renewal terms.

Which host is cheaper after renewal?
The available figures do not support a reliable price comparison. Hosting.com’s US$3.99-per-month starting price is a volatile advertised snapshot, not a confirmed renewal rate. Arvixe’s help article does not establish current availability or comparable current billing terms. Do not choose a price winner based on those figures alone.
Before comparing, confirm both providers’ checkout offers for the same billing term. Compare the total first-term cost with the renewal cost, and account for taxes and any domain conditions. A low introductory monthly equivalent is not the same as a low ongoing cost.

How should you choose for your site?
Choose Hosting.com if its published plan limits fit
For a new buyer who wants clearly documented shared tiers and a stated path to managed servers, Hosting.com is the more supportable choice on the evidence available. Match your expected number of sites and storage needs to the plan, then verify the checkout price, renewal rate, backup terms, security coverage, and migration details.

If you specifically need Windows hosting with Website Panel, or want to evaluate an existing Arvixe account, first confirm that the relevant service is available to you and get current written terms. Its documentation describes Linux and Windows options, but does not prove a new-customer purchase channel or the present state of each plan.
If you already host with Arvixe, check before moving
Do not assume that support documentation reflects your account’s current renewal price or migration options. Review your account-specific renewal and cancellation terms, ask what migration assistance is available, and make a backup before changing hosts. A move is easier to assess once you know what your current service includes and what the replacement will cost after its initial term.
What to verify before paying
- Whether the plan is available to new customers in your region.
- The total price for the initial term and the renewal amount for the same plan.
- Website and storage limits, plus any stated resource or traffic limits.
- Required operating system and control panel.
- Backup frequency, retention, and restore options for your specific plan.
- Included security features and the scope of migration assistance.
- Support channels, cancellation process, and refund terms.
- Available upgrades if the site outgrows shared hosting.
Hosting.com links to an Affiliate Program, but that link alone does not establish its eligibility, payout, or other terms; it does not affect the hosting comparison.
