A2 Hosting is now Hosting.com, following its rebrand after a January 2025 acquisition by World Host Group. Older A2 Hosting reviews, plan names, and prices may not match what Hosting.com offers today. There is no evidence here of a controlled performance test that establishes one provider as universally faster or better. Raiola Networks may be the better fit if you want a stated Madrid data center and euro-priced Spanish-language plans; Hosting.com may suit you if its current shared-hosting bundle and support offer meet your needs. Compare the exact plan, full contract and renewal cost, location, capacity, and support channel before deciding.
What changed from A2 Hosting to Hosting.com?
A2 Hosting rebranded as Hosting.com after its acquisition by World Host Group in January 2025, according to Digital Hosting’s September 2026 review. The current service is presented under the Hosting.com name on its official website. Treat older A2 plan names, reviews, and pricing as historical unless you confirm that the same terms appear in the current offer.

How do the current shared-hosting offers compare?
The providers publish different kinds of plan information, so the figures below are not a like-for-like performance comparison. Raiola’s listed prices are monthly and exclude VAT; Hosting.com’s accessible official page lists features but does not expose a directly comparable monthly price in the available page text.

Features and support descriptions in this table are provider claims, not independently verified service or performance results. Raiola’s homepage also says more than 30,000 people trust it to host their sites; Hosting.com reports 700,000+ customers and 3,000,000+ websites hosted. Those are each provider’s own figures, not independently audited measures of quality.
Which host is likely to fit your needs?
Choose Raiola when Madrid and euro-priced plans matter
Raiola is a reasonable candidate if you want the provider to state a Madrid data-center location, prefer Spanish-language plan information, and want the listed monthly prices in euros. Its Inicio plan lists up to two domains and 10 GB of SSD storage; check that this capacity and the full price including VAT suit your project.
Consider Hosting.com when its current bundle matches your checklist
Hosting.com’s published shared-hosting offer includes NVMe storage, managed migration, SSL, daily backups, and security features, alongside advertised 24/7 in-house support. These inclusions may make it a fit if they align with your requirements, but confirm the exact plan terms and total cost before buying.

Let audience location and support needs break a tie
A stated Madrid data center may be relevant if your visitors are mainly in or near Spain. Hosting.com describes multiple global server locations, so check which location you can select for the plan. For support, Raiola advertises phone and ticket options around the clock, while Hosting.com advertises 24/7 support; neither claim by itself establishes response quality or resolution speed.

What should you verify before paying?
- Confirm the current brand and plan. For the former A2 Hosting service, check Hosting.com’s current plan page rather than relying on old A2 names or comparisons.
- Calculate the full term cost. Check the billing period, introductory rate, renewal rate, taxes, and any add-ons. Digital Hosting’s September 2026 review says it could not find a publicly displayed Hosting.com renewal price and advises checking at checkout; its reported promotional prices are not a price guarantee.
- Match capacity to the site. Compare domains or websites allowed, storage, and transfer terms on the exact plans. Do not assume that a feature listed for one tier applies to every tier.
- Check location availability. Compare the data-center location offered for the plan with where your visitors are. A provider’s stated location or server specification alone does not establish real-world speed.
- Confirm support and migration details. Check the available channels and what the provider includes in migration before committing.
- Look for comparable independent tests. A useful head-to-head test would need current equivalent plans and a disclosed, reproducible method. Marketing terms such as “LiteSpeed” or “NVMe” are not proof that one host will be faster for your site.
Does either provider win on performance?
No controlled, directly comparable test of current equivalent Hosting.com and Raiola plans is established by the available evidence. The providers’ server and storage descriptions can help you identify what to investigate, but they do not demonstrate which service will deliver lower latency, better uptime, or faster page loads for a particular site. Choose based on verified plan terms, location, capacity, total cost, and support needs rather than treating promotional wording or old review ratings as a benchmark.
