Hostens vs InterServer: What to Check Before Choosing a Host

Hostens publishes more shared-hosting detail, but the available evidence does not establish a fair overall winner against InterServer. Compare your workload, location, and current checkout terms.
Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Neither Hostens nor InterServer can be named the overall winner on the available comparable evidence. Hostens publishes more detail about its shared-hosting plans, locations, software, and support; current InterServer plan limits and terms are not established here. Choose based on your audience’s location and workload, then verify the exact plan, billing term, renewal cost, and service terms before paying.

What the evidence can—and cannot—settle

This is a comparison of providers, not a controlled performance test. The available official-source details are substantially fuller for Hostens than for InterServer, so the comparison can describe Hostens’ published offer but cannot establish an equivalent plan-by-plan or performance verdict for InterServer. No independently measured speed, uptime, or support results are available to support a performance winner.

How the published offers compare

Decision point Hostens InterServer
Plan and resource detail Its shared-hosting page lists S10, S20, and S40 with varying storage, bandwidth, website, database, and email-account allowances. Check the plan page for the exact limits. Hostens shared hosting Comparable current shared-hosting limits were not established in the available official-source material. Review the live plan details before comparing.
Example pricing evidence The page displays S20 at $14.99/month and S40 at $28.99/month on monthly billing. Longer-term cards show discounts labelled “not recurring”; confirm the checkout total and later renewal amount. Hostens shared hosting A search-result summary for its web-hosting page lists $15 for six months, $30 for twelve months, and $60 for twenty-four months. The underlying page details were not retrievable, so these amounts cannot be safely assigned to a plan, monthly equivalent, or renewal rate. Verify the current offer directly. InterServer
Locations Lists EU, USA, and Asia locations, identifying Vilnius, Washington DC, and Singapore. Confirm which location is selectable for your specific plan. Hostens shared hosting Comparable shared-hosting location choices were not established.
Control panel and software Lists cPanel, Let’s Encrypt SSL, Apache, MariaDB, PHP 5.6, 7.2, 7.4, 8.0, and 8.1, plus Installatron. Verify compatibility and availability for the package you choose. Hostens shared hosting Comparable current shared-hosting software and panel details were not established.
Backups and support Lists daily/weekly backups and support through email, live chat, and tickets; its homepage describes support as 24/7. The shared-hosting page states a 30-day money-back guarantee. Check the package and current written terms. Hostens shared hosting Hostens Comparable current details on backup restoration, support channels and hours, or refund period were not established.
Uptime or service commitment The shared-hosting page states 99.95% uptime. A Hostens Help Center article dated October 20, 2025, says its Lithuanian data-center arrangement supports 99.98% availability. These are conflicting provider claims, not independent measurements. Hostens shared hosting Hostens Help Center: What is your uptime? A comparable current shared-hosting service-level commitment was not established.
Broader services Identifies itself as a Lithuanian provider operated by UAB Interneto vizija. Hostens Its official homepage describes web hosting alongside cloud compute, bare metal, and colocation. InterServer

Which provider fits your situation?

Consider Hostens if its published details match your needs

Hostens is the easier option to assess from the published shared-hosting information: the page gives named tiers, resource categories, software, backup frequency, support channels, and several location choices. That transparency can help you screen a plan, but it does not establish that a plan will meet your workload or outperform InterServer. Confirm the selected data center, package limits, recurring price, and written terms before checkout.

Consider InterServer if you want to evaluate a broader infrastructure provider

InterServer’s homepage presents web hosting as part of a wider set of services that includes cloud compute, bare metal, and colocation. That may be relevant if you are considering more than shared hosting, but it does not establish which current shared plan fits a particular website. Check the live plan page for its resource limits, location, pricing basis, renewals, support, backups, refund rules, and service commitment.

How to make a fair final comparison

  1. Start with visitor geography. Choose a server location near the audience you serve, and verify that the exact plan offers it. Hostens publishes EU, USA, and Asia options; a comparable InterServer detail was not established here.
  2. Match the workload. Compare storage, transfer allowance, sites, databases, email, control panel, backup schedule, and required software versions against what your website actually uses. Do not assume equivalent plan names mean equivalent resources.
  3. Compare the full billing term. Put the same number of months side by side, distinguish introductory discounts from recurring charges, and check the amount due at renewal. Hostens labels some longer-term discounts “not recurring”; the InterServer figures available here do not establish a plan’s monthly or renewal price.
  4. Check recovery and support terms. Confirm support hours and contact methods, how backup restoration works, any migration assistance, refund conditions, and the written uptime commitment. Published channels or availability figures do not by themselves demonstrate response quality or actual uptime.

Why there is no evidence-based overall winner

Hostens has more retrievable plan-level information, but the missing comparable InterServer terms prevent a reliable like-for-like verdict. The conflicting Hostens availability figures also should not be treated as verified uptime. If one provider’s exact current terms better match your audience, workload, and budget, that is a practical basis for choosing it; it is not proof that it is universally better.
