HONOR is developing a compact gaming tablet for its WIN lineup, with an OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and built-in cooling fan reported in coverage of the company’s teasers. A refresh rate above 200 Hz has also been reported from an HONOR teaser, but the often-cited 240 Hz figure and roughly 8.4-inch size come from a tipster, not a confirmed final specification. Price, launch timing and availability outside China remain unannounced in the cited reports.
What HONOR has confirmed about the WIN Pad
HONOR confirmed that it is developing a compact tablet for its gaming-focused WIN lineup. Notebookcheck reported the confirmation on August 26, 2026, and said HONOR China Smart Life head Lin Lin described a design focus on performance, weight and battery life. The company had not released a complete retail specification sheet. Notebookcheck, August 26, 2026

September coverage of Lin Lin’s Weibo posts reported an OLED panel, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and integrated cooling fan. The same report described the device as lacking cellular connectivity and having one USB-C port. These are reported details from HONOR’s disclosures, not a complete set of published specifications. Is the HONOR WIN Pad really a 240 Hz tablet?
Not as a confirmed final specification. Notebookcheck reported on October 3, 2026, that HONOR’s teaser pointed to a refresh rate above 200 Hz. The specific 240 Hz figure, along with an approximately 8.4-inch display size, was attributed to tipster Digital Chat Station rather than announced by HONOR. Notebookcheck, October 3, 2026

Until HONOR publishes final specifications, describe the screen as an OLED display with a teaser-reported refresh rate above 200 Hz; treat 240 Hz and the panel size as reported claims. A panel’s refresh rate is the maximum number of times it can update per second, not a promise that every game will render at the same frame rate. Game-specific caps, graphics workload and sustained device performance can all limit frames per second. Tablet News, October 3, 2026
What the built-in fan might—and might not—tell buyers
The reported integrated fan signals that HONOR is designing the compact tablet with gaming performance in mind. It does not establish how well the device sustains performance, how hot it gets, or how loud the fan is. The October coverage had no published thermal tests, fan-noise measurements or game-specific performance results. Tablet News, October 3, 2026
