MacRumors reported on October 6, 2026, that delivery estimates for some HomePod mini colors stretched as long as six to eight weeks in several countries, while certain finishes were unavailable for delivery in the U.S., U.K. and Canada. The same report pointed to an unconfirmed October 13 introduction of a successor. Those delays are a reason to check your local stock—not proof that Apple is about to launch a new model.
What HomePod mini delivery estimates were reported?
The figures below are Apple Store estimates reported by MacRumors on October 6, 2026. They were not guarantees, and availability could vary by color, country and, in the United States, ZIP code. They are a dated snapshot, not a standardized measure of supply. MacRumors’ report advised that U.S. dates could differ by address.

No. MacRumors reported a rumored October 13, 2026 introduction of a new HomePod mini alongside an updated Apple TV 4K and a smart-home hub. The report said the successor was expected to keep the current design while adding a faster chip, Apple Intelligence support and new colors. These are rumors, not confirmed launch details or specifications from Apple. MacRumors’ report did not establish an official Apple confirmation.

Stock delays alone are weak evidence of a refresh: MacRumors noted that similar HomePod mini shortages had occurred intermittently for more than a year. That history makes it unsafe to treat this particular stretch of delays as proof of an imminent replacement. MacRumors reported the earlier pattern.
What the current HomePod mini offers
Apple describes the current HomePod mini as a compact smart speaker with 360-degree audio, Siri, smart-home control and iPhone-related features. Its product page identifies the S5 chip in the speaker’s audio-processing description. This is context for the model on sale now, not a verified comparison with rumored hardware. Apple’s HomePod mini page describes the current product.
