What Mary does on the HMD 2660 Flip Senior Edition
Mary is designed as a voice-first companion rather than a conventional smartphone assistant. HMD and inTouch describe a one-button interaction intended to avoid app downloads, passwords and complex setup. Once the service is enabled, the owner can start a conversation from the phone itself.

The service is designed to speak slowly, accept longer pauses, retain personal history and use context from earlier conversations. The October 14, 2026 product report says Mary can discuss history, nature and personal experiences, tell stories, play memory games and remember details from previous chats.

HMD’s March 1, 2026 announcement frames the wider feature-phone AI effort around voice commands for calls, alarms, torch control and simple questions. Mary is a distinct companionship service aimed at sustained conversation, not merely a general-purpose voice assistant.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)

Subscription cost and what happens after the trial
The phone comes with five complimentary hours of Mary conversations. Notebookcheck reported a price of €19.90 per month after that allowance and said the plan does not renew automatically. Mobile-operator charges may still apply. The HMD UK storefront search result lists a different local price of £16.90 per month, showing that the fee is market-specific.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
| Market or item | Reported price | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Mary subscription | €19.90 per month | Notebookcheck report, October 14, 2026; non-renewing subscription; operator charges may apply |
| Mary subscription in the UK | £16.90 per month | HMD UK storefront search result; local pricing, date reported in 2026 |
| HMD 2660 Flip Senior Edition in the UK | £79.99 | Cosy Black retail availability reported October 14, 2026 |
| Included Mary access | Five complimentary hours | One-time allowance before paid access |
Using the reported UK figures, a first year would cost £79.99 for the phone plus £202.80 for 12 months of Mary, or £282.79 before carrier charges. That calculation assumes a full year of paid service after the included allowance and does not establish pricing in other countries.
Hardware and usability
The 2660 Flip Senior Edition keeps the physical controls and limited software of a basic flip phone. Its reported specifications are:

Large buttons, a physical keypad, a headphone jack and a removable battery may be more approachable than a touchscreen smartphone for someone who mainly needs calls and a simple conversational feature. The QVGA main display and 0.3-megapixel camera also make clear that this is not a smartphone replacement for demanding apps, high-quality photography or modern web services.
Availability and the pilot’s timeline
HMD announced its older-adult pilot with inTouch on March 1, 2026, and said broader European rollout details would follow. A March 6 inTouch partnership announcement described the concept as “One button. An average 15-minute conversation. An AI that remembers your story.” By October 14, 2026, independent product coverage identified the retail model as the HMD 2660 Flip Senior Edition and reported UK availability in Cosy Black.

- [360 ° Flexible Rotation Design] Comes with a rotatable lanyard ring that supports 360 ° free rotation, effectively solving the problem of twisted and tangled lanyards
- [Wide compatibility] The ultra-thin 0.02-inch design does not block the charging port at all, and both wired and wireless charging can be used directly without removing the pad. Compatible with most smartphones such as iPhone, compatible with various wristbands, lanyards, crossbody straps, and keychains
- [Durable and Portable Material] Premium rust-resistant stainless steel material with good flexibility, which not only avoids scratching the phone case, but also has excellent anti rust and anti fading performance
- [Multi scenario Practical] Paired with a lanyard or wristband, hands-free use can be achieved. The phone is within reach and not easily dropped, ideal for daily commuting and outdoor activities. Suitable for full coverage phone cases, does not support half coverage phone cases
- [Quality Service] If you find any damage or other issues with the product upon receipt, please contact us immediately. We will handle it quickly
Those dates matter: the announcement describes a pilot, while the later report describes a UK retail product. Availability, hardware listings and Mary pricing should therefore be checked for the buyer’s country rather than assumed to be universal.

Where it fits
- Someone who wants ordinary calling on a simple, physical-key phone.
- A user who may find app installation, account passwords and touchscreen navigation burdensome.
- Families looking for a conversational feature that can remember earlier details without requiring a separate smartphone app.
Important limitations
- Mary is not free beyond the included five hours, and the monthly price varies by market.
- The phone remains usable without the subscription, but the paid companion experience is then unavailable.
- No independent hands-on testing, battery test or clinical evaluation of Mary’s emotional or therapeutic effectiveness has been established.
- Mobile data or voice charges from the operator may be additional to the Mary fee.
inTouch says people over 80 are expected to triple to 450 million over the next 20 years, and reports from 2025 studies that engaged seniors stayed in their homes an average of nine months longer than seniors who were lonely or disconnected. The page does not name those underlying studies, so the second figure should be treated as inTouch’s reported claim rather than an independently verified statistic.

What to check before buying
- Confirm that the HMD 2660 Flip Senior Edition is sold in the buyer’s country and that the intended mobile operator supports its network bands and service.
- Verify the local Mary price, the length of the included five-hour allowance and whether the subscription remains non-renewing in that market.
- Budget for carrier charges as well as the phone and Mary plan.
- Set up the phone with the older adult and test calls, charging, volume, button readability and the one-button Mary interaction before relying on it daily.
- Explain that declining renewal removes continued Mary access but does not disable the basic phone.
