Yes. Hitachi Construction Machinery said the October acquisition completed the repurchase authorized by a written resolution in lieu of a Board of Directors resolution dated August 18, 2026. The completion statement refers to that particular authorization; it does not establish whether the company may authorize a separate repurchase in the future.

How did the purchase compare with the authorization?
The August authorization set maximums of 6,420,000 shares and ¥34,000,000,000. It covered market purchases on the Tokyo Stock Exchange under a discretionary transaction contract from August 19 through November 30, 2026. Those were upper limits and an outer authorization period, not the October purchase totals or the dates on which purchases actually occurred.

What happens next?
The company’s investor-relations calendar scheduled its second-quarter results announcement for October 29, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. Japan Standard Time. That was a future scheduled event as of the October 9 buyback notice; the calendar entry does not state an expected effect of the repurchase on earnings or the share price.
