Hero V08 is a photo-led restaurant landing-page hero with a “Book a table” button and a card for opening hours and address. Colorlib lists it as a 2026 release under CC BY 3.0; its roundup says commercial use is allowed when the required credit link is retained. Check the terms on the applicable download page before using it.
What the Hero V08 design includes
Colorlib’s Hero V08 page describes a full-screen restaurant opening section built around a dining-room photograph and a dark overlay. A centered serif wordmark anchors a header whose navigation is split around it. At the lower left, the headline and short introduction lead to a gold “Book a table” button. A translucent information card displays opening hours, the venue’s address, and a note about walk-ins.

Colorlib says the mobile layout keeps the photograph at the top, darkens the overlay, and moves the hours card below the introductory copy. The roundup presents the design as suitable for restaurants, cafés, bars, and other hospitality venues. This is a focused first-screen layout, rather than a complete restaurant website: the described content is an introduction, booking prompt, and essential visit information.

How it is built and what compatibility means
Colorlib describes the download as plain HTML and CSS with a few lines of vanilla JavaScript. It says the template does not include jQuery, Bootstrap files, or plugins, and lists the download size as 298 KB. That size is the figure shown on the publisher’s page, not an independent measurement.

The page says: “Use it on its own, or drop it into a Bootstrap 4, 5 or 6 project and it looks the same.” Treat that as Colorlib’s compatibility claim, not a result of independent testing. The separate Colorlib roundup explains why a standalone hero section is useful in Bootstrap 5: Bootstrap 5 no longer includes the jumbotron component, so sites commonly build a similar large introductory block as a hero section. A hero section and a jumbotron are related design patterns, but the template is not described as Bootstrap’s former jumbotron component.

Colorlib lists Aigars Silkalns as the author, September 2026 as the release month, and CC BY 3.0 as the license. Its roundup says Colorlib’s hero sections may be used in personal and commercial projects under CC BY 3.0 if the credit link is retained. Because that guidance comes from the roundup, confirm the terms shown for the specific download before publishing or adapting it.
The same roundup distinguishes third-party CodePen examples: their authors own them, and their licenses may differ, so check each example’s terms individually. The roundup also describes a collection of 34 examples: 12 new Colorlib hero designs and 22 classic jumbotron examples. Those are Colorlib’s stated counts, not an independently audited catalogue.

When Hero V08 is a practical fit
- Consider it for a hospitality landing page: the photography, reservation call to action, and compact hours-and-address card are tailored to helping visitors understand the venue and take a booking-related next step.
- Check the visual assets and content: the layout depends on a dining-room photo, a short introduction, current opening hours, and an accurate address. The page description does not establish the source or reuse rights for any included image, so verify asset terms in the download.
- Plan for integration: although Colorlib describes it as usable on its own or in Bootstrap projects, inspect the actual files and test the finished page in the framework version and device sizes you intend to support.
- Review attribution before launch: account for the credit-link condition described by Colorlib’s roundup and retain any required notice when adapting the template.
