Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteFor smoother play in Hellraiser: Revival, first compare your PC with the published requirements, then tune settings at your actual resolution and frame-rate goal. DSOGaming’s October 10, 2026 test found that performance changes substantially with resolution, and it reports traversal stutters. It does not establish one best preset for every PC; the game also has no built-in benchmark tool, according to that report.
Check your PC before changing graphics settings
Steam lists the following minimum and recommended specifications for the PC version. These are hardware requirements, not promises of a particular frame rate, resolution, or quality preset. Saber Interactive also recommends an SSD.

| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10 64-bit (22H2 or later) | Windows 10 64-bit (22H2 or later) |
| Processor | AMD Ryzen 5 1500X or Intel Core i5-8400 | AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or Intel Core i5-12400F |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics card | AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 8GB or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 | AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT or NVIDIA RTX 3060 |
| Available storage | 80 GB | 80 GB |
| Storage note | Saber says an SSD is recommended; the requirement does not say an SSD increases frame rate. | |
Use the table as a readiness check, not a strict prediction tool. A PC that meets the minimum may need compromises to reach a chosen resolution or frame-rate target; the published figures do not specify what performance either tier should deliver. A machine at or above recommended specifications likewise has no guaranteed frame rate.
How to use the requirements as a decision point
- If your graphics card is below the listed minimum, the available evidence cannot predict whether a particular setting combination will make the game run acceptably. Lowering quality or resolution is a reasonable experiment, but not a guaranteed fix.
- If your GPU is around the minimum tier, begin with a conservative image-quality setting and a resolution your display and performance goal can accommodate. Change settings one at a time rather than assuming recommended hardware means every option can stay at its maximum.
- If the system is near the recommended tier, still measure performance in play at your intended resolution. The independent test shows that moving from 1080p to native 4K changes the performance picture even on its tested high-end cards.
Make sure the game has the required 80 GB available before installation. The SSD recommendation concerns the storage device; neither Saber nor Steam describes it as a frame-rate upgrade.

What the available performance test actually found
DSOGaming published its PC analysis on October 10, 2026. It used a demanding scene from the first hour of the game, a Ryzen 9 7950X3D processor, 32 GB of DDR5-6000 memory, Windows 10 64-bit, and October 2026 drivers. Its tested graphics cards were Radeon RX 6900 XT, RX 7900 XTX, RX 9070 XT, and GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 3080, RTX 4090, RTX 5080, and RTX 5090.
| Test condition in DSOGaming’s selected scene | Reported result | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| 1080p, Epic settings | Every GPU in its tested set reached 60 FPS. | This is a result for those cards, that scene, and that test setup—not a guarantee for other PCs or every area of the game. |
| 1440p, Epic settings | The five fastest tested cards stayed above 60 FPS at all times. | The result is limited to the five fastest cards in the test; it does not establish performance for every tested GPU at 1440p. |
| Native 4K, Epic settings | Only the RTX 5090 stayed above 60 FPS throughout. The RTX 4090 averaged 65 FPS and dipped to 57 FPS. | An average above 60 did not mean the RTX 4090 stayed above 60 throughout the selected scene. |
These results are useful evidence that resolution and GPU capability matter, but they should not be turned into an FPS forecast for your PC. The report tested a particular scene, not every location, patch, CPU, driver version, or graphics-card configuration. It also noted traversal stutters despite generally strong results. A short dip or hitch therefore should not automatically be read as proof that a single quality option is too high.

The report says the game has no built-in benchmark. That makes a repeatable in-game route more useful than changing a slider and judging an unrelated moment. The suggested procedure below is a troubleshooting method, not a Hellraiser-specific test conducted by the publisher or a claim that it reproduces DSOGaming’s result.

| Setting group reported | Practical way to evaluate it | What the available evidence does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| View distance | If performance is below target, test a lower quality level and compare a similar view with distant objects. Keep the change only if the visual trade-off is acceptable. | No measured FPS gain or recommended level for this game is reported. |
| Shadows | Try one lower level and compare both frame delivery and the appearance of shadow detail in the same area. | The test does not identify a best shadow setting or quantify its cost. |
| Textures | Compare texture appearance at the same location after changing quality. Do not assume that changing textures alone will resolve every performance problem. | No VRAM requirements, texture-memory measurements, or texture-setting benchmark are given. |
| Global illumination | Change its quality separately, then look for whether the lighting difference is worth any observed performance change on your PC. | No tested level, performance impact, or visual comparison is published. |
| Reflections | Use scenes where reflective surfaces are visible to judge the visual compromise; avoid comparing two different scenes. | No reflection-specific result or recommended level is reported. |
| Other settings | Inspect the available options in your installed version and change them individually so you can identify which adjustment matters to your experience. | The report does not enumerate every control or provide values for a complete preset. |
The evaluation ideas in this table are general troubleshooting suggestions, not measured effects for Hellraiser: Revival. A setting can have a different practical cost depending on hardware, resolution, scene, and game version. Avoid treating the ordering in the table as a ranking of which option will deliver the largest gain.
How to tune for your own resolution and target
Choose the goal before adjusting the image. “Better performance” could mean fewer drops below a desired frame rate, a steadier experience, or retaining as much visual quality as possible while improving responsiveness. The benchmark numbers above concern its own 60-FPS comparisons; they do not tell every player which target to choose.

- Record your starting point. Note your resolution, current graphics options, and what is wrong: consistently low performance, occasional dips, or traversal stutters. If your game exposes a frame-rate display, observe it during play; do not assume an average alone captures brief drops.
- Use a repeatable route. Pick an area you can revisit and spend a similar amount of time there after each change. The game has no built-in benchmark, so this is a practical way to make comparisons less dependent on memory. It will not recreate DSOGaming’s selected first-hour scene unless you use that same scene and setup.
- Test at the resolution you intend to play. Do not tune at 1080p and assume the result will hold at 1440p or native 4K. DSOGaming’s Epic-settings results demonstrate materially different outcomes across those resolutions on its test hardware.
- Change one quality option at a time. Start with an adjustment you are willing to see in the image—such as a different level for shadows or reflections—then revisit the same route. Record whether it improved the specific problem and whether the visual compromise is worthwhile.
- Keep or undo the change. If the comparison does not help, restore the previous level before testing something else. If it helps but the target is still missed, repeat with another option rather than stacking several untracked changes.
- Consider an upscaler only after deciding what native resolution cannot meet. Select an available option in the game and evaluate it at your target resolution. The sources confirm support for several upscaling technologies but provide no universal mode or quality recommendation.
If performance is below target throughout a scene
Try a lower resolution or a single quality reduction, then compare the same route. If an upscaler is available for your hardware, it is another option to evaluate when native rendering does not meet your target. Keep the change only if the resulting image and performance suit you. The evidence does not tell you which setting will be the best first adjustment on a particular GPU, so use observed results rather than a fixed “low, medium, high” FPS chart.

Note where the dip happens and whether it recurs on the same route. DSOGaming reports traversal stutters, so a brief hitch is not necessarily a sign that every quality setting should be reduced. If the dips persist, compare the same location after changing one option; avoid drawing a conclusion from a single unrelated encounter.

If you change resolution or install a patch
Recheck the settings that matter to your target. The benchmark report is tied to a selected scene and its October 2026 setup, and Saber says it expects post-launch patches for discovered issues. A patch or driver change can make an older comparison less representative. The available evidence does not provide a version-by-version performance history.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.DLSS, FSR, and XeSS: what is confirmed
DSOGaming lists support for NVIDIA DLSS 4, AMD FSR 3.0, and Intel XeSS 2. AMD also promotes FSR support on its official game page; that is vendor information, while DSOGaming independently lists the three technologies. Their inclusion confirms reported support, not that each option is available on every graphics card or that a particular mode is best for a given display.
Choose based on what the game offers on your PC and the image quality you find acceptable. Compare the selected option with native rendering under the same resolution and route if native performance is short of your target. The available report does not supply per-upscaler FPS figures, image-quality comparisons, supported modes, or a recommendation such as Quality, Balanced, or Performance. It would therefore be misleading to prescribe one mode or promise a specific gain.

What to conclude from the evidence
Start with the published CPU, memory, GPU, OS, and storage requirements; then judge your own resolution and target in a repeatable scene. The strongest measured reference is DSOGaming’s October 10 test: all of its selected GPUs reached 60 FPS at 1080p Epic, while at native 4K Epic only the RTX 5090 remained above 60 FPS throughout. Those are bounded test results, not an all-PC preset guide. Use individual setting changes and available upscaling as experiments, and keep only the changes that improve your own play without an unacceptable visual trade-off.
