Hellraiser: Revival is available now, ahead of Halloween 2026. Saber Interactive lists its release date as October 8, 23 days before October 31. The exception is the Nintendo Switch 2 physical retail edition, which is dated October 30—not a delay to the game’s overall launch.
Is Hellraiser: Revival ready for Halloween 2026?
Yes, if you mean whether the game is available to play before Halloween. Saber Interactive’s official site labels it “OUT NOW,” and its FAQ gives October 8, 2026 as the release date for PC and consoles. That is 23 days before Halloween, October 31.

The date that can cause confusion applies specifically to Nintendo Switch 2 physical retail copies: Saber lists those for October 30. That does not mean the game itself misses Halloween; it means this particular physical format arrives one day before it.
What kind of game is it?
Saber describes Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival as a single-player, first-person action horror survival game. Its story follows Aidan, who uses the Genesis Configuration—a puzzle box—to try to help his girlfriend Sunny escape the Labyrinth and survive a bargain involving Pinhead. The Steam listing says players combine the box’s supernatural abilities with earthly weapons and face cultists and other enemies.

In a PlayStation Blog interview, game director Emil Esov describes dual-wielding weapons alongside the Genesis Configuration’s powers. He also discusses escape tactics such as switching off the flashlight or turning quickly and running. These are developer descriptions, not independent findings about how the game performs or feels in play.
How graphic and disturbing is it?
The official content warnings point to material intended for adults. The PlayStation Store listing warns of blood and gore, intense violence, nudity, strong language, strong sexual content, and drug use.
Steam’s developer-provided content description is more specific: it names torture, consensual mutilation, substance abuse, tobacco use, and non-explicit consensual sex. It also flags narrative themes involving suicide, domestic abuse, BDSM practices, and addiction. These warnings are useful if you are deciding whether the game suits you or someone who may encounter it through a stream.

Streaming and video guidance
Saber’s creator guidelines advise setting an 18+ age restriction for videos and streams and using a sexual-themes label where available. Saber says the game has no streamer mode that changes or removes its content.
Platforms, physical formats, and editions
Saber lists PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam as platforms. Its FAQ distinguishes the physical formats and dates:

PlayStation Store lists Standard and Deluxe editions. On Steam, the listing showed Standard at $39.99 and Deluxe at $49.99 when checked; those are Steam prices, not a comparison across platforms, and can change. Steam’s Deluxe extras include the “The Nailer” melee weapon, weapon skins, a charm, a digital art book, soundtrack, novella, and an ’80s horror movie filter.

Saber Support also says Boss Team Games handles Collector’s Edition sales and fulfillment, but that support page does not establish the edition’s contents or availability. Check the relevant platform or seller listing for current local pricing, stock, and edition details.

Saber’s minimum PC requirements are Windows 10 64-bit (22H2 or later), an AMD Ryzen 5 1500X or Intel Core i5-8400 processor, 8 GB RAM, an AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 8GB or NVIDIA GTX 1660 graphics card, and 80 GB of available storage. An SSD is recommended. These are publisher-listed requirements, not independent performance testing.

Saber estimates a playthrough at around 8–12 hours, depending on play style. That is the developer’s estimate rather than a measured completion time. Saber also says an internet connection is not required and confirms that a Steam demo is available.

Will there be DLC or content updates?
In its FAQ, Saber says it has no plans for future DLC or content updates, while expecting to issue patches if post-launch issues are discovered. Those statements reflect the FAQ as of October 2026 and may change.
Is this a continuation of the Hellraiser films?
An Xbox Wire interview says the game is inspired by the first two Hellraiser films but tells a new story in the same universe rather than directly continuing their plots. The interview also describes Clive Barker as deeply involved from the beginning, contributing to visual style, story motifs, lore, and character personalities; it does not say he personally wrote every part of the game.
