What it does not cover
The author presents the chart as a lookup tool, not a course. It does not include scales, songs, or bass clarinet, and it does not offer a separate page for every note. Anyone expecting a complete clarinet method, a practice curriculum, or a bass clarinet reference will need another resource.
How to use a lookup chart like this well
- Confirm your instrument is a B-flat soprano clarinet with a standard Boehm system, since that is the instrument the chart describes.
- Find the written note, not the sounding pitch, and check the printed concert-pitch reference tones if you are playing with other instruments.
- Where the chart shows two little-finger options, try both on your instrument and keep the one that gives you the cleaner tone and pitch in your context.
- Use the printed version at your desk or in the practice room if you want a chart that does not depend on a connection.
How current is this information?
The source article is on DEV Community and is marked “Posted on Sep 28” without a year in the visible text, so its exact publication date cannot be confirmed from the article itself. The live chart page could not be independently checked for this article, so its current interface and availability are not confirmed. Bottom line for students
