Cybersecurity company Hadrian announced a $40 million funding round on October 6, 2026, bringing its stated total funding to $65 million. The company says it will use the capital to expand across EMEA and the United States and invest further in engineering and research. Its platform pairs continuous discovery of internet-facing assets with on-demand application penetration testing.

Who invested in Hadrian’s $40 million round?

Forgepoint Capital International and SmartFin co-led the round. Existing investors HV Capital, Motive Partners, Picus Capital, and Oetker Ventures also participated. Hadrian says the financing brings its total funding to $65 million; the announcement does not break down the funding by investor or disclose the terms.

What does Hadrian’s platform do?

Hadrian describes its offering as an agentic AI offensive-security platform for enterprise security teams. Its two products address different stages of finding and testing potential weaknesses.

Atlas: continuous external exposure management

Atlas is the platform’s breadth component. Hadrian says it continuously maps an organization’s external attack surface—including domains, IP addresses, certificates, ports, and other internet-facing assets—and validates which exposures may be exploitable. The company describes Atlas as cloud-deployed.

Nova: on-demand application penetration testing

Nova is Hadrian’s depth component: an on-demand, agentic penetration-testing product for applications and APIs. Hadrian says Atlas and Nova share context, allowing teams to move from broad asset discovery and exposure validation into deeper application testing without repeating discovery. That is the company’s product positioning, not an independently assessed comparison of the products’ capabilities.

Hadrian’s product page invites enterprise prospects to request a pentest or demo. The cited materials do not state pricing, deployment requirements beyond Atlas being cloud-deployed, or specific integrations.

What results does Hadrian report?

Hadrian’s October 2026 materials cite the following customer outcomes. They are company-reported figures; the announcement does not provide the underlying methodology or independent validation.

  • 10 times greater visibility into critical exposures.
  • 80% faster time to resolution.
  • Five times the ROI compared with manual penetration testing.

The same announcement says 87% of organizations still run manual penetration tests and that 0.47% of vulnerability-scanner findings proved genuinely exploitable. Hadrian does not identify the original research publisher for those figures in the cited passage, so they should be treated as claims attributed to the company, not as independently established industry statistics.

Hadrian’s announcement also names customers including McKesson, NBC Universal, Francisco Partners, Total Energies, Amadeus, Leroy Merlin, and Damen Shipyard. Customer names and testimonials indicate adoption claims; they do not, by themselves, verify product effectiveness. Hadrian was founded in Amsterdam in 2021 by Rogier Fischer, Olivier Beg, and Maurice Clin.

What should a security team evaluate?

Hadrian’s materials explain its own product positioning but do not offer a neutral comparison with competitors. A buyer assessing Hadrian or another provider can use these questions to test whether the offering fits the organization’s needs:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • Discovery breadth: Which external assets can the product find, and how does it handle assets that are unknown or outside the expected inventory?
  • Testing depth and scope: Which applications and APIs can be tested, and what does an engagement actually cover?
  • Validation evidence: How often are exposures checked, and what evidence supports a finding that a weakness is exploitable?
  • Remediation workflow: How are findings prioritized and connected to the team’s existing remediation process?
  • Operational fit: What deployment and integration requirements apply to the products the team would use?
  • Outcome evidence: Can the provider support quantified results with methods and evidence relevant to the buyer’s environment?

These are questions to ask during evaluation; the cited Hadrian pages do not answer all of them.
