- This product contains a download code inside the box — no disc is included. Customer shipments will begin arriving November 12 for pre-load; game is playable starting November 19. Code can only be used by users holding an account for PlayStation registered to the US or Canada.
- Pre-order to receive the Vintage Vice City Pack.
- Grand Theft Auto VI is a single-player experience.
| Edition | Announced US price | What it includes |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | $79.99 | The game. |
| Ultimate | $99.99 | The game and an upgrade with the listed in-game items and locations. |
Rockstar says Standard owners can buy the Ultimate upgrade separately after redeeming the Standard code. Compare the upgrade’s listed content and cost with the $20 difference between the announced US edition prices; neither edition is the right choice for every player. See Rockstar’s platforms, editions, and versions details for the current product terms.
When can you preload, and does the box include a disc?
Take-Two says digital preload begins November 12, 2026, at local midnight. Rockstar says the physical box contains a download code, not a disc; physical copies are expected at retailers starting November 12 to support preload. A boxed purchase therefore does not mean a disc-based offline installation.

What kind of game has Rockstar announced?
Rockstar’s official description names Jason and Lucia and the setting of Leonida, including Vice City. Take-Two described the game in its June 24, 2026 announcement as a “single-player experience.” The existence of GTA Online and the GTA+ preorder promotion do not establish multiplayer features for GTA VI at launch.
