So there is no verified list of settings to customize before you start. Once the game is available, check the options in your own platform and version rather than assuming a feature exists.
What is confirmed about GTA 6 settings?
Rockstar’s official information identifies PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as platforms for Grand Theft Auto VI and lists Standard and Ultimate editions. Its published platform information does not specify accessibility features, remappable controls, or how the game’s settings menu is organized. Rockstar’s GTA VI platform and editions information was updated August 18, 2026.

What to inspect in the settings menu when the game is available
Open the game’s settings and look for options that address your needs. These are categories to check, not confirmed GTA 6 features:
#1 Best Overall
- Input: button remapping and whether actions can be set to toggle instead of requiring a held input.
- Camera and aiming: camera behavior and aiming sensitivity, including any options that affect motion comfort.
- Reading and hearing: subtitles, captions, text size, and contrast.
- Gameplay assistance: any assistance options relevant to the way you play.
If you cannot find an option, confirm that you are checking the correct platform and game version before concluding that it is absent. Do not assume that a menu or input behavior on one platform applies to another.
How to test a change without making play less comfortable
- Open the settings menu in your own copy of GTA 6 and inspect the available controls and accessibility-related categories.
- Change one setting at a time so you can tell what effect it has.
- Try the change in a low-pressure part of play. Pay attention to movement, aiming, driving, and reading as applicable.
- Return to the menu and adjust or undo the change if it makes play less comfortable.
This is a practical way to evaluate settings once they are available; it is not a report of hands-on testing.

What GTAV can—and cannot—tell you
Rockstar’s documentation for the earlier game, GTAV, provides examples of places and settings players might recognize, but it does not establish that GTA 6 has the same options. Rockstar directs GTAV players to Pause Menu > Settings and identifies controls, audio, camera, and display among its categories. That GTAV settings guidance is a navigation example for the previous game, not a confirmed GTA 6 menu path.
GTAV update notes describe deadzone and acceleration sliders as well as a first-person auto-level camera option. Rockstar explains that a lower first-person aim/look deadzone makes input register sooner, while acceleration determines how quickly turn speed reaches its maximum. Those details may help explain what similarly named controls do if you encounter them, but they are GTAV examples, not evidence that GTA 6 includes them. Rockstar’s GTAV update notes concern the earlier game.

- Grand Theft Auto VI is a single-player experience.
Rockstar’s GTAV vehicle-control support article says controls are displayed when a player enters a vehicle and that an adjustment made in that context also affects on-foot controls, and vice versa. Do not assume GTA 6 shares that behavior. The vehicle-control guidance applies to GTAV.
