What tools fit in the GripNGo Vault?
New Atlas reports that the Vault’s CNC-machined grade 5 titanium body holds six 4 mm driver bits. Two positions can instead carry the mini blade and inkless pen inserts, so choosing those accessories means giving up two bit slots. The tool has a push-slide lock, magnetic bit storage and a magnetic hex socket, according to the same report.

The reported use cases are modest: the blade is intended for light cutting such as opening packages or cutting cord, while the inkless pen can mark paper, wood and walls. Those are product capabilities described in coverage, not independently tested performance. New Atlas also reported that a 20-piece bit set was offered as an add-on; the report does not establish which bit types are included.
How small is it, and what does that mean in use?
New Atlas lists the tool at 52.5 mm (just over 2 inches) long and 45 g (1.6 oz). T3 also describes it as about two inches long and 45 g. These are published specifications, not independent measurements.

That size makes it a plausible option for keeping a few drivers and small accessories on a keyring rather than carrying a separate screwdriver kit. The trade-off is leverage and reach: T3 notes that a tool this short is better suited to small everyday jobs than demanding repairs. It may be inconvenient when a fastener is recessed, tight, or needs substantial turning force. Treat it as a compact backup for minor fixes, not a replacement for a full-size screwdriver.
What should you check before choosing one?
- Bit needs: It accepts reported 4 mm bits, but confirm that the bit geometry and driver types match the fasteners you expect to handle.
- Accessory trade-off: The blade and pen occupy two positions that could otherwise hold bits.
- Repair demands: For larger, tight or hard-to-reach fasteners, a longer-handled tool is likely more practical because the Vault’s short body limits reach and leverage.
- Replacement inserts: Coverage does not specify the blade dimensions, so compatibility with generic replacement blades is not established.
If buying a separate bit set, “4 mm precision screwdriver bits” is a useful search phrase, but verify the geometry and compatibility of the specific set. New Atlas reported a 20-piece add-on for the campaign; that does not confirm that any other listed set will fit.

What was reported about price and availability?
In its August 21, 2026 coverage, New Atlas reported a US$45 Kickstarter pledge, an expected US$70 MSRP, and a US$12 add-on for a 20-piece bit set. It also reported worldwide shipping planned for December 2026. These are campaign-era figures and a planned date—not confirmation of current pricing, retail availability or shipment. Kickstarter purchases carry delivery uncertainty, and Amazon availability was not established in the cited coverage.
