If Gray Zone Warfare closes with “GPU Crash Dump Triggered,” there is no verified single fix for every player. Start by verifying the game files in Steam and checking for a current graphics driver for your GPU. If the crash continues, test one change at a time and record what happens; the error text alone does not prove your graphics card is faulty.

What the error does—and does not—tell you

“GPU Crash Dump Triggered” is the wording players report when Gray Zone Warfare crashes or closes. The sources available do not establish that this message identifies one root cause or confirms a hardware failure. In an August 2025 Steam discussion, a moderator recommends checking GPU behavior and temperatures, CPU tuning, RAM configuration, and drivers as possible diagnostic areas—not as confirmed causes for every player. A July 2026 post from an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT owner says that verifying game files and rolling back an AMD driver appeared to help. That is one player’s account, not an official fix or a controlled test. It does not establish that a rollback is appropriate for other players. Player report

Try these troubleshooting steps in order

  1. Record the crash context. Note your GPU model and vendor, graphics-driver version, game version if available, when the crash occurs, and whether it began after a game or driver update. Save the exact error text and any crash-log details. This gives support useful context and helps you see whether a change affects the problem.
  2. Verify Gray Zone Warfare’s files in Steam. In your Steam Library, right-click the game, open Properties, select Installed Files, then choose Verify integrity of game files. Wait for the check to finish before launching the game again. File verification was among the steps reported by the AMD player, but that account does not show that verification alone resolved the crash. Player report
  3. Check your graphics driver. Look for the currently available driver for your specific GPU through its manufacturer. The August 2025 discussion includes NVIDIA driver versions as historical troubleshooting suggestions; do not treat those old version numbers as current recommendations. The AMD driver rollback reported in July 2026 is likewise an anecdote, not a general instruction to downgrade. Steam community discussion Player report
  4. Test one relevant setting at a time. The Steam moderator mentions NVIDIA GPU debug mode as a diagnostic test, along with checking temperatures, RAM speed or profile, CPU boost or curve settings, power-supply capacity, and the Windows page file. These are community suggestions, not verified fixes. NVIDIA debug mode is NVIDIA-specific; do not treat it as an AMD setting. Before changing BIOS or hardware settings, consult the relevant manufacturer’s guidance. Record the original setting and restore it if the test does not help. Steam community discussion
  5. Escalate with the details you collected. If the crash persists, use the Gray Zone Warfare community technical-support channel or contact MADFINGER Games support with the error, crash-log details, hardware, driver version, and steps already tried. The discussion does not promise a response time or a fix. Steam community discussion

How to choose what to test

Prefer changes that are reversible, relevant to your GPU vendor and system configuration, and easy to evaluate. Change only one thing between test sessions; otherwise, you will not know which change affected the crash. Avoid buying a GPU, power supply, cooling product, or replacement part based on this error alone: the cited reports do not diagnose a failed component or show that a purchase resolves it.

What is currently established

The most detailed troubleshooting source cited here is a community moderator discussion last edited in August 2025, so its specific settings and driver-version references may be outdated. The July 2026 AMD report is a single-player account.
