Developer Perfect Garbage announced the delay on September 30, 2026, moving the game from its Fall 2026 target. The studio says console porting and platform optimization need more time, while the game’s content is complete and work continues on polish and bug fixes.
Why was Grave Seasons delayed?
Perfect Garbage said its first major console porting effort proved difficult. The team is working with a porting partner and using the additional time to optimize the game for Nintendo Switch and a wider range of PC specifications, as well as finish polish and fix bugs. The studio described the game as content complete; that means its content is locked, not that every port or the final polish is finished. The September 30, 2026 developer announcement also said the game had passed 600,000 Steam wishlists, a developer-reported promotional figure.

The current date is March 9, 2027; the earlier August and Fall 2026 dates have been superseded. The official announcement page carries the three schedule updates.
Is Grave Seasons still coming to Switch?
Yes. The developer FAQ, edited September 30, 2026, lists Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 1. The Switch release remains part of the announced platform lineup, with the launch scheduled for March 9, 2027. See the official Grave Seasons FAQ.

Is there a demo, and is Game Pass confirmed?
The June 5 announcement cancelled the planned June 15 demo and said a later Steam demo would depend on studio capacity. The cited announcements do not establish that a demo is currently available. The March 26 announcement said Grave Seasons would be on Xbox Game Pass on day one, but the September delay post did not restate that detail. The current release date is confirmed in the developer FAQ; check the official announcements for any subsequent changes to availability.
