Which Gothic trilogy edition should I buy?
There is no single edition to assume includes all three classics. Gothic Classic, Gothic II Complete Classic, and Gothic III Classic are sold or announced as separate products, with different platform schedules and language listings. Check the product name and current regional storefront for the game and platform you want.

Is there a physical Gothic collection?
THQ Nordic announced a retail-exclusive Switch edition called Gothic Classic Khorinis Saga. The announcement does not establish its exact package contents, present regional availability, or current stock, so confirm those details with the retailer before treating it as a three-game trilogy bundle. Which languages have audio, and which have text only?
Language support is specific to the game, platform, region, and listing. In particular, a language shown as supported may mean text only rather than spoken dialogue.

For Gothic Classic on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo lists the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and supports TV, tabletop, and handheld modes. Can I transfer a save between games or platforms?
Do not assume so. Nintendo lists Save Data Cloud for Gothic Classic, and Steam lists Steam Cloud for Gothic 3. Those are platform cloud-save services; the listings do not promise transfers between Nintendo, Steam, PlayStation, or Xbox, nor save import from one Gothic game into another. What should I check before buying?
- Match the exact title and edition to your platform; the three classics are separate products.
- Check the current regional storefront for release status and platform generation, especially for scheduled 2026 console releases.
- If spoken dialogue matters, inspect the exact edition’s audio field rather than relying on its overall language list.
- For Switch, Gothic Classic is the edition with documented Pro Controller support and handheld mode.
- Treat cloud save as a platform feature, not evidence of cross-platform transfer or sequel save import.
