If the email shown on your app’s Google sign-in consent screen is the app’s support contact, change it in the Google Cloud project under Google Auth Platform > Branding > User support email, then save. If you mean the personal email shown on a personalized “Sign in with Google” button, that is the user’s Google Account information and is a separate setting.
First identify which email is showing
Google uses “User support email” for the contact associated with an app’s OAuth branding. It appears on the consent screen so people can contact the app team with questions about signing in, authorization, or the app; Google also says it is shown to Google Workspace administrators evaluating the app. See Google’s Google Auth Platform overview and branding instructions.

A personalized Google sign-in button can separately display the signed-in person’s profile picture and email address. Changing the app’s support email will not change that person’s Google Account email. Google explains the button behavior in How Sign in with Google works; account email settings are covered separately in Manage your email addresses.

Change the OAuth app’s user support email
- Open the Google Cloud Console and select the project used for the app’s OAuth configuration.
- Open Google Auth Platform, then select Branding.
- In User support email, select an eligible address that your team monitors.
- Save the Branding settings.
The field’s available choices depend on Google’s eligibility rules. Google documents a Google Group managed by the currently logged-in user, or that user’s email address when it is registered as a Google Account. For a non-Gmail address, Google’s guidance is to sign in to the API Console using the relevant Google Workspace account, or register the existing address as a Google Account and make it a project editor or owner so it can appear in the selector. Choose an address that will remain useful
Google recommends using a generic support contact rather than an individual employee’s address, to support professionalism and continuity. A team address is useful only if it is eligible in the selector and someone monitors it. Google’s example is [email protected]; it is an example, not a required address. If users still see the old branding
Check the selected project first. For an external app in production, also check its branding verification and publishing state. Google says branding changes can be saved as draft and may need verification and publication before updates take effect on published branding. Its brand-verification guidance discusses these requirements, including verification for external production apps that want the app name or logo displayed. This does not mean every project follows the same workflow, or that every support-email change necessarily triggers review.

If an address or field is missing, use Google’s documented eligibility rules as a starting point and confirm the intended project is open. Google does not enumerate every account-specific reason a selector option or field might be unavailable, so avoid assuming a particular permission or account problem without checking the console state.
