The change, reported on October 6, 2026, makes it easier to inspect several markets together; it is different from comparing two countries side by side.
What changed in Google Search Console?
Google’s announcement, quoted from its LinkedIn post by Search Engine Roundtable on October 6, 2026, says users operating in multiple countries can now view their combined Google Search traffic. The update adds multi-select to the Country filter in Performance reporting, according to that report.

Country was already a supported Performance report dimension, and Google documented filtering and comparing country results before this update. The new convenience is selecting several countries together for a combined view, rather than having to inspect each market separately. The sources do not establish a universal rollout date or confirm availability in every Performance report type.

How do I group countries in Google Search Console?
- Open the relevant Performance report in Search Console.
- Open the Country filter and select the countries you want included.
- Apply the selection to view performance for the selected countries together.
The October 2026 report describes selecting multiple countries, but the available sources do not specify exact control labels or establish that the same option appears in every report variant.

Combined country view or country comparison?
| Workflow | What it shows | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Multiple countries selected in the Country filter | A combined view of the selected countries’ results. | When you want to inspect a group of markets together. |
| Country comparison | Separate results for two countries for comparison. | When you want to evaluate how two markets differ. |
Google’s Performance report walkthrough documents the comparison workflow. Selecting multiple countries for a combined view is not evidence of a saved custom region or a change to the underlying search data.
How to interpret the combined results
Know what the report measures
In Search results, Performance reporting includes clicks, impressions, click-through rate (CTR), and average position. The table can group results by country, and country data is aggregated by property. See Google’s Performance report overview and dimensions and data groupings for definitions.

Do not expect chart and table totals to match exactly
Chart and table totals can differ because Search Console aggregates data differently depending on the dimension. Google also says its data is limited to links that send users to the current property. Check the report overview when interpreting totals, and treat the newest readings as potentially preliminary.

You can export the data currently shown in a report, including applied filters or grouping, to Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, or CSV. Exports may contain only up to 1,000 representative rows even when the report totals cover more data; the exported rows should not be treated as a complete row-level dataset.
