For a compact flagship comparison, the Google Pixel 10 and Samsung Galaxy S25 are close in listed size: 6.3 inches versus 6.2 inches. Google publishes detailed resolution and brightness figures for the Pixel 10; Samsung specifies the Galaxy S25’s display type and 120 Hz maximum refresh rate, with its US specification sheet also listing FHD+ resolution and 2,600 nits brightness. Those are manufacturer specifications, not a matched independent test. If you want more viewing area and a sharper panel, compare the Pixel 10 Pro with the Galaxy S25 Ultra instead.
Which models are being compared?
“Google Pixel vs Samsung Galaxy” is not a single screen comparison: each brand sells phones at different sizes and specification tiers. This guide uses the Pixel 10 and Galaxy S25 as base-model examples, then looks at the Pixel 10 Pro and Galaxy S25 Ultra as larger, higher-resolution alternatives. The cited specifications are from Google and Samsung; regional configurations can differ, so check the exact model sold where you live.

Size and comfort
The listed diagonals differ by just 0.1 inch, but that does not prove the phones feel equally compact. A diagonal measurement says little by itself about grip, reachability or how the phone sits in a pocket. If handling is a priority, try the exact models in person where possible.

Both base models are specified at up to 120 Hz, a refresh ceiling associated with smoother scrolling and motion than lower-refresh displays. Maximum refresh rate is not the same as minimum refresh rate or a guarantee that every app and situation runs at 120 Hz. The Pixel’s listed 422 ppi and the Galaxy’s FHD+ resolution are useful reference points, but they do not establish a visible sharpness winner: viewing distance, content and screen size matter too.

Brightness claims
Google labels its Pixel 10 figures as HDR and peak brightness, while Samsung’s US sheet lists 2,600 nits for the S25. These vendor claims are not necessarily measured under the same conditions. They should not be treated as a direct everyday-brightness test or used alone to declare one screen brighter in real use.
What changes if you choose a Pro or Ultra?
Moving up a tier changes the comparison from two near-compact screens to larger panels with more viewing area and higher resolution.

| Specification | Google Pixel 10 Pro | Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra |
|---|---|---|
| Screen size | Not stated in the cited Google Pixel hardware specifications | 6.9 inches, per Samsung’s 2025 US specification sheet |
| Panel and resolution | LTPO OLED; 1344 × 2992; 486 ppi, per Google | QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X, per Samsung’s 2025 US specification sheet |
| Refresh rate | Not stated in the cited Google specification source | 120 Hz adaptive, per Samsung’s 2025 US specification sheet |
| Published brightness | Up to 2,200 nits HDR and 3,300 nits peak, per Google | 2,600 nits, per Samsung’s 2025 US specification sheet |
A larger screen can give video, games, reading and split-screen tasks more room, but it also means handling a larger phone. Google describes this general size tradeoff in its Pixel phone comparison material. Resolution and brightness figures alone do not determine which display you will prefer.

Which screen should you choose?
- Choose between the Pixel 10 and Galaxy S25 if you want a compact flagship-sized screen. Their listed diagonals are close; decide by trying the phones, comparing the exact regional versions and weighing current prices alongside the screen specifications.
- Consider the Pixel 10 Pro or Galaxy S25 Ultra if screen area and resolution take priority over compact handling. Compare their actual size in person, since the Pixel Pro’s diagonal is not stated in the cited specification source.
- Do not pick a screen based only on a peak-nits number. The manufacturers’ published brightness figures use different labels and are not evidence of a head-to-head measurement under shared conditions.
There is no unqualified screen winner in these specifications. The useful choice is the exact model and size that suits your hands and viewing habits, with regional specs and current price checked before buying.
