Android Central reports a US starting price of $1,899 for each phone, a $0 gap. Google lists a Tensor G6 chip and 16 GB RAM for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Samsung’s US page promotes a 200 MP main camera and 8K video for the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. Nothing confirmed so far shows which one is faster or takes better photos, and this article says where the evidence stops.
Price difference
Android Central’s comparison of the two phones lists a US starting price of $1,899 for both, so the reported base-price difference is $0. That is a secondary-source figure for the US. It does not guarantee what the official stores charge today, and it says nothing about other regions.

Real cost depends on the storage tier, whether you buy unlocked or through a carrier, and any trade-in or promotion. Check the checkout total on the Google Store and the Samsung US page before you decide, because deals can reverse a tie.

What the differences mean
Cameras
Samsung’s sensor counts are much higher on the main and ultrawide cameras, but megapixels do not decide image quality. Processing, sensor size, lens quality and telephoto reach matter as well. Google confirms a 5x telephoto, and Samsung’s telephoto spec is not covered here. Wait for independent camera tests before treating either as the better camera.
Chip and memory
Google confirms Tensor G6 with 16 GB RAM. I have no confirmed processor or memory figures for Samsung, and no independent benchmarks for either phone, so I won’t call one faster.
Rank #2
- Unfold extraordinary with Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold; with Pixel’s largest screen and Gemini, Google’s most advanced AI, it’s made for multitasking and entertainment[1]
- Unlocked Android phone gives you the flexibility to change carriers and choose your own data plan[2]; it works with Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and other major carriers
- Get a head start on syncing your data before it even arrives: After you purchase your new Pixel, look for an email that explains how to transfer your photos, videos, passwords, and more in just a few quick steps[14]
- The gearless, high-strength hinge makes it durable enough to handle about 10 years of folding[3]; plus, Pixel 10 Pro Fold is built with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance[4]
- The brighter-than-ever 8-inch Super Actua Flex display is Pixel’s largest screen yet[12]; and you can use Split Screen to plan a trip, drag and drop images, and open multiple apps at once[5]
Size and weight
Google says its phone is lighter and thinner than last year’s Pixel 10 Pro Fold. That is a generational claim, not a comparison with Samsung. Compare measured weight and folded thickness on both spec pages if pocketability matters to you.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsWhich should you pick?
- Choose the Pixel 11 Pro Fold if you want Google’s Tensor chip and software, plus a confirmed 5x telephoto and 16 GB RAM.
- Choose the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra if high-resolution capture, 8K video and Samsung’s own software and ecosystem matter more.
- Let price offers decide if you are undecided, since list prices are reportedly equal. Compare trade-in value, carrier promotions and storage tiers.
Before buying, also compare the warranty, durability ratings and update commitments on the official pages. They are not covered by the figures above.
