Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →This FAQ covers the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL—the current model meant by “Pixel Pro XL” here, not an earlier Pixel generation. Google advertises 24+ hours of battery life, up to 70% wired charging in about 30 minutes with a compatible charger, and seven years of OS and security updates. Those are manufacturer claims and support terms; your battery life and update timing can vary.
How long does the Pixel 10 Pro XL battery last?
Google lists a 5,200 mAh typical capacity and a 5,079 mAh minimum capacity for the Pixel 10 Pro XL. Capacity is not a screen-on-time estimate. Google advertises 24+ hours of battery life and up to 100 hours with Extreme Battery Saver, but warns that actual battery life may be lower and depends on use and enabled features. These are Google’s claims, not results from an independent endurance test. Google’s Pixel 10 Pro XL specifications provide the full qualifications.

Your screen brightness and time spent using the display, mobile or Wi-Fi signal, apps, and active features all affect how often you need to charge. Treat the advertised duration as a manufacturer estimate, not a guarantee that every person will get a full day or a set number of hours away from an outlet.
How fast does the Pixel 10 Pro XL charge?
Wired charging
Google says the Pixel 10 Pro XL can reach up to 70% in about 30 minutes when using a 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher, plugged into a wall outlet. The cited rate is based on Google’s 45W USB-C charger; actual results may be slower, charging performance varies with use, and the adapter is sold separately. A USB-C plug by itself does not ensure the advertised speed. See Google’s charging specifications and notes.

Wireless charging
The Pixel 10 Pro XL supports Qi2-certified Pixelsnap wireless charging up to 25W. That is a maximum for this model, not a rate to assume for every wireless pad. Check that a charger is Qi2-certified and compatible with the phone before buying or relying on it for the stated speed. Google lists different wireless maximums for other Pixel 10 models.
Does the Pixel 10 Pro XL come with a charger?
Google says the power adapter is sold separately. If you want the specified wired charging rate, choose a 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher and plug it into a wall outlet; a lower-powered or incompatible adapter may charge more slowly. Wireless charging requires a separate compatible Qi2 setup. Google’s specification page lists the charging conditions and accessory caveats.

Google’s policy covers the Pixel 10 Pro XL for seven years of OS and security updates, counted from the model’s first availability on the Google Store in the US. The policy may also include new and upgraded features through Pixel Drops. The seven-year period is a support commitment; it does not mean every feature reaches every device or region simultaneously. Rollouts are gradual, depend on carrier and device, and can take a few weeks. Check Google’s current Pixel software update guidance for details.

How can I make my Pixel battery last longer?
Choose a charging routine that suits your day
Adaptive Charging can time a charge to finish near your usual unplug time. Google also offers an 80% charge limit to prioritize battery health. The limit leaves less charge available for a long day, so it is a trade-off rather than a default recommendation for everyone. Find current options and instructions in Google’s charging optimization guidance.
Give battery optimization time to learn
Adaptive Battery and app battery optimization are on by default, according to Google, and learn from how you use the phone. That adaptation may take a few weeks after setup or a reset. Google says some extra battery drain after a software update can be normal while the phone downloads and optimizes software; if unusual drain continues after a few days, its guidance is to seek help. See Google’s Adaptive Battery and app optimization guidance.

What is the Pixel 10 Pro XL like to carry and use?
Google lists a 6.8-inch display and a weight of 8.2 ounces. Those figures describe a large, relatively heavy phone on paper, but they cannot tell you whether it will feel comfortable in one hand or in a pocket; that depends on your preferences and how you hold and carry a phone. Google’s specifications are the source for the size and weight.
