GoFullPage is likely easier to learn for the basic job of capturing an entire page and saving it. Its published workflow centers on clicking the extension or using a shortcut, then downloading an image or PDF. FireShot offers more capture modes and ways to edit or send a result, which can suit frequent or varied work but gives a new user more choices to navigate. This is an inference from each vendor’s published workflow, not the result of a hands-on usability test.
Which extension is easier for your typical screenshot?
For a one-page capture-and-save routine, GoFullPage presents the shorter path: start a full-page capture, wait for the result in a new tab, and save it. Its Chrome Web Store listing also describes a keyboard shortcut. FireShot’s listing documents more ways to capture and handle an image, so it may be quicker once you regularly use those options, but it has more choices to learn first.

The practical choice depends less on ratings than on what you do after capturing. Choose GoFullPage for a straightforward full-page image or PDF. Choose FireShot if you often need a selected region, captures from multiple tabs or URLs, annotations, or handoff to another application.
How do their capture and export workflows compare?
| Task | GoFullPage | FireShot | What it means for ease of use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Capture a whole page | One-click capture or shortcut; image or PDF export. | Full-page capture, with multiple save and sharing actions. | GoFullPage advertises the more concise basic workflow. |
| Capture only what you need | The listing emphasizes entire-page capture and says it handles inner scrollable elements. | Offers full page, visible part, selection, and specific scrolling areas; some options are listed as upgrade features. | FireShot makes more capture choices explicit. |
| Capture several pages | A batch workflow is not established in the reviewed listing. | Lists capture of all tabs and URL-list batch capture. | FireShot is the more clearly documented fit for repeated or batch work. |
| Edit or annotate | Premium features include cropping and annotations. | Pro feature descriptions include crop, resize, text and arrow annotations, blur, and effects. | Check which tier includes the operation you need before choosing on editing alone. |
| Export or share | PNG, JPEG, and PDF; Premium lists paper-size options, smart PDF splitting, and metadata features. | PDF, PNG, JPEG, GIF, and BMP, plus clipboard, email, print, OneNote/export, and upload options. | FireShot lists more destinations; GoFullPage keeps the basic save path simpler. |
What to expect from a full-page capture
A full-page screenshot is not simply a photograph of the visible browser area: the extension has to scroll through the page and assemble the result. Content loaded only after scrolling, unusual scrolling behavior, or protected browser pages can affect the output. Neither listing establishes that every page will capture perfectly. Review the resulting image or PDF before relying on it, especially when the page is long or interactive.

- INCREDIBLE CONTRAST: The VA panel produces brighter whites and deeper blacks. You get true-to-life images and more gradients with 16.7 million colors
- THE PERFECT VIEW: The 178/178 degree extra wide viewing angle prevents the shifting of colors when viewed from an offset angle, so you always get consistent colors
- WORK SEAMLESSLY: This sleek monitor is virtually bezel-free on three sides, so the screen looks even bigger for the viewer. This minimalistic design also allows for seamless multi-monitor setups that enhance your workflow and boost productivity
- A BETTER READING EXPERIENCE: For busy office workers, EasyRead mode provides a more paper-like experience for when viewing lengthy documents
GoFullPage says oversized captures may be split into images in separate tabs. If one capture does not look right, try a shorter page or capture the relevant visible area instead; a long page with dynamically loaded content may behave differently from a static article.
