When Chrome DevTools is a better fit
DevTools may suit a capture that belongs in a developer or QA workflow, where you are already inspecting the page in the browser. Custom scrolling and dynamic pages
The same FAQ says some sites use custom JavaScript scrolling in a way that can prevent capture. A page that loads content as you scroll, or uses a nonstandard scrolling region, deserves a test capture; the documentation does not guarantee success for every such page. Compare the result on your actual page
- Confirm that the target is a web page, not a PDF document, and note whether it uses custom scrolling or loads content as you move down the page.
- For GoFullPage, install or open the extension from its Chrome Web Store listing, capture the page, and check that the bottom content and any important interactive regions appear in the result.
- For DevTools, use the full-page capture command shown by your current Chrome installation or its current official documentation. Verify the exact command and inspect the output rather than relying on remembered menu steps.
