Gnani.ai reports strong results on selected Indic-language knowledge and extractive question-answering benchmarks, but those are developer-published scores—not independent proof of production quality. The model is not a finished enterprise workflow product, and its model card cautions against high-stakes use.
What is Gnani Evon v3.3?
Gnani.ai’s model card dates the release to August 2026 and describes Evon v3.3 as a hybrid Mamba2-Transformer Mixture-of-Experts model. It has 30 billion total parameters, about 3.5 billion active per token, uses BF16 precision, and lists a maximum context length of 131,072 tokens (128K). The model was trained through continued pretraining, supervised fine-tuning, and reinforcement learning, with an emphasis on Indic-language comprehension, extraction, reasoning, and instruction following. Gnani.ai’s model card lists these specifications.

The listed languages are English, Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, and Punjabi. The model card lists an Apache 2.0 license: it is open weights, but users should consult the repository and license terms to determine how those terms apply to their own use.

Gnani AI describes Gnani Artha as an enterprise platform that combines Evon with Gnani Plexus, which the company describes as an agentic platform. That distinction matters: model weights alone do not constitute a complete workflow system.

How does Gnani Evon v3.3 perform on benchmarks?
The figures below are from Gnani.ai’s 2026 model-card comparison tables. They are not independent replications, and benchmark results measure particular datasets, prompts, languages, and metrics—not guaranteed performance on a real deployment.
Knowledge and Indic-language question answering
On MILU, Gnani.ai reports a macro accuracy of 78.74 across 11 languages. Its card lists 67.15 for Sarvam-30B and 75.71 for Sarvam-105B. Evon’s per-language figures are also developer-reported:
| Language | Evon v3.3 MILU score |
|---|---|
| English | 84.06 |
| Kannada | 82.44 |
| Bengali | 82.30 |
| Hindi | 81.99 |
| Telugu | 79.78 |
| Gujarati | 79.05 |
| Marathi | 78.44 |
| Tamil | 78.12 |
| Punjabi | 76.02 |
| Malayalam | 77.00 |
| Odia | 66.94 |
In the card’s comparison, Evon exceeds Sarvam-30B on all 11 listed MILU languages and Sarvam-105B on 10; Odia is the exception. These comparisons describe the models and evaluation setup in that table, not every task or deployment condition.

For extractive question answering, the card reports XQuAD-in F1 of 64.59 and XorQA-in F1 of 41.83. Both figures exceed the Sarvam-30B and Sarvam-105B figures shown in the card’s table. On BharatMath, Gnani.ai reports 73.97 accuracy, compared with 60.32 for Sarvam-30B in the same table.
Safety and task-dependent results
Gnani.ai reports 86.50% overall accuracy on IndicSafe across 5,965 rows in 12 Indic languages. That aggregate masks substantial differences among categories:
| IndicSafe category | Reported accuracy |
|---|---|
| Harmless Control | 97.93% |
| Tricky Ambiguous | 97.77% |
| Health Misinformation | 80.41% |
| Political Manipulation | 72.49% |
| Gender & Caste Discrimination | 70.26% |
The weaker results in political manipulation and discrimination are important context; the overall figure is not a guarantee that harmful outputs will be handled reliably in a particular product.
Evon does not lead every task in the model card. For CrossSum-in chrF, Gnani.ai reports 4.67 for Evon, 9.66 for Sarvam-30B, and 18.01 for Sarvam-105B. For IndicIFEval translation prompt-strict, the reported scores are 47.45, 40.76, and 51.79 respectively. The card also gives a hosted-model comparison on a nine-language MILU macro: 79.46 for Evon and 79.69 for GPT-5.4-nano. Gnani.ai calls this “statistical parity”; that is the company’s characterization, not an independently established statistical finding.
How to interpret the comparisons
A useful comparison should match the task (such as knowledge, extractive QA, math, translation, summarization, or safety), language and script, metric, comparator model and size, dataset, and prompt setup. Accuracy, F1, chrF, and chrF++ are different measures and should not be treated as interchangeable. The sources cited here do not include independent reproductions of Evon’s results or establish universal latency, throughput, or serving-cost figures.
What can you use Gnani Evon v3.3 for?
The model card lists English and Indic-language chat assistants, multilingual retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool-using agent systems, code and mathematical reasoning, and instruction following as intended use cases. A 128K stated context window may support long-context applications, but it does not by itself demonstrate that a system will retrieve or use every relevant passage accurately.
For multilingual prompting, the card’s guidance is to specify the target language and script. If an application requires native-script-only output, verify the script downstream rather than assuming the model will always comply.
The card suggests Transformers, vLLM, or SGLang runtimes and lists Linux with NVIDIA H100 80GB, H200, or A100 hardware. These are deployment starting points, not evidence of a universal hardware requirement or a particular speed, cost, or throughput. Actual feasibility depends on the chosen runtime, workload, serving configuration, and available hardware.

Self-hosting or an enterprise platform?
Self-hosting may suit teams that want to control their inference environment and integrate a model into their own systems. Gnani AI says open weights can be deployed in an institution’s own data center or virtual private cloud. That is the company’s deployment description, not a blanket guarantee of legal compliance, privacy, or security; those depend on the institution’s configuration, controls, and obligations.
A managed enterprise stack such as Gnani Artha may be more relevant when an organization needs integrated workflows rather than model weights alone. The company describes Artha as combining Evon and Plexus, but the announcement does not establish independent performance, deployment costs, or support commitments. Organizations should assess those details against their own requirements.
What are Gnani Evon v3.3’s limitations?
The model card says Evon v3.3 is not recommended for high-stakes decisions or for legal, medical, or financial advice. It calls for safety evaluation in target languages and domains, safety guardrails, and human oversight in high-stakes contexts. It also warns that web-scraped and synthetic training data may introduce bias.
Tool use and agentic behavior are less mature than the broader list of intended applications might suggest. The card states: “Tool use and agentic capabilities are an active area of development,” and says multi-step tool use is still being improved. Treat an agent workflow as something to test and supervise, not as a capability established by the model’s benchmark scores.
Before deploying Evon, evaluate the exact language, native script, domain, retrieval corpus, prompt format, and runtime you plan to use. Measure task quality as well as harmful and biased outputs, and check operational constraints on the selected hardware. The cited sources do not establish independent performance, deployment costs, maintenance cadence, or support commitments.
