To get a Moldovan IP address while abroad, connect to a VPN provider that currently lists Moldova as a server location. Install its app, sign in, choose Moldova, and connect. This changes the public IP address websites see; it does not establish that you are physically in Moldova or guarantee access to a particular service.
How to connect to a Moldovan VPN server
- Choose a provider. Confirm its current server-location list includes Moldova and that the service supports your device.
- Install and sign in. Download the provider’s app for your device, subscribe if required, and sign in.
- Select Moldova. Open the app’s server or location list and choose Moldova.
- Connect and check the IP. Once the app reports a successful connection, use an IP lookup page to check the public IP and the country it reports. The reported country should be Moldova if the connection is working as intended.
Provider location lists and server counts can change. Check the provider’s current details before choosing a plan; no connection or IP lookup was independently tested for this guide.

The providers below list Moldova on their official pages. These pages establish advertised location availability, not comparative speed, reliability, or acceptance by third-party services.

What a Moldovan IP address does—and does not—do
A VPN routes your connection through a provider’s server and changes the public IP address visible to websites. A site that uses IP geolocation may consequently associate the connection with Moldova. That is not proof of physical presence: your device, account details, GPS data, payment method, or other checks can indicate something different.
An IP associated with Moldova also does not guarantee that a bank, government portal, streaming catalog, or other service will accept the connection. No particular third-party service was verified for access, and services may apply additional location or account rules.

If the IP lookup does not show Moldova
- Confirm that the VPN app says it is connected to Moldova, not merely that Moldova is selected.
- Disconnect and reconnect to the Moldova location, then check the public IP again.
- If the lookup still reports another country, consult the provider’s support for that endpoint. IP lookup results and provider routing can differ.
- If a website rejects the connection despite a Moldova result, treat that as the website’s own access decision; an IP location alone cannot resolve other checks.
