What makes a game like Eternal Blade?
Eternal Blade is presented by its developer as an open-world Souls-like RPG set in the Baransu Realm. Its story follows Emerald as she seeks the Eternal Blade and gemstones to save her cursed father. The developers describe the game as manga-born and say its story has been in development for more than four years; Steam also describes it as being built alongside a manga and anime screenplay. Those are developer descriptions, not independently verified development history.

For choosing a next game, it helps to separate three things: the emphasis on reading attacks and parrying, the fantasy action-RPG setting, and the manga-linked presentation. Sekiro is the strongest match for combat timing; Elden Ring is the better fit for open-world fantasy exploration. Neither shares the full combination.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice — for precise combat and stealth
Eternal Blade’s Steam description emphasizes reading enemies, striking and defending, and building power through a perfect parry. The game’s presskit names Sekiro as an inspiration. FromSoftware’s official Sekiro page describes stealth, traversal, prosthetic tools, and direct combat, making it the most relevant pick here if combat timing is your priority.

The match has limits: Sekiro is an action adventure, not an open-world manga-linked RPG. Choose it for the combat emphasis and stealth, not for an equivalent setting or story format.
Elden Ring — for open-world fantasy and RPG progression
Eternal Blade’s presskit names Elden Ring as an inspiration, and FromSoftware classifies Elden Ring as an action RPG. Its broad fantasy exploration and RPG structure make it the more natural option if you are looking for a substantial world to roam rather than a close match for a particular combat system.

The two games have different worlds and play structures. The available product descriptions support a comparison on open-world fantasy and action-RPG structure, not a claim that their combat systems are the same. Elden Ring is also not presented as part of a manga-linked setting.
Is Eternal Blade available to play now?
Steam lists Eternal Blade as single-player and “coming soon,” and describes a 2026 demo/alpha. The official site gives October 2, 2026 as the demo date and lists Steam Next Fest dates of October 19–26, 2026. These are published schedule statements, not confirmation that a demo is currently available; check the live Steam listing for its latest status.

The official site also says a print edition, “Volume 1,” is intended to collect Chapters 1 through 5, with details forthcoming. It has not established a release date, price, retailer, or preorder availability.
