Samsung lists distinct Wi-Fi and 5G variants. Its India product page, for example, documents a 5G model with SIM and embedded-SIM capability and regional band details; that information should not be assumed to apply to models sold elsewhere. The Wi-Fi specification is capable: Samsung’s UK listing specifies 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz Wi-Fi, plus Bluetooth 6.0. That does not provide cellular service when no Wi-Fi network or hotspot is available. The UK listing is explicitly for a Wi-Fi model: Samsung UK Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra Wi-Fi.

Samsung’s regional product pages show 256 GB and 512 GB listings, as well as a 1 TB 5G listing. Samsung describes configurations starting at 256 GB or 512 GB, with up to 1 TB internal storage and up to 16 GB memory; these are not guarantees that every tier is sold in every country. Do not treat the advertised capacity as entirely free space. Samsung reports 226.9 GB available on its UK 256 GB Wi-Fi listing and 227.2 GB available on its India 256 GB 5G listing. Those are examples from different regional product pages, not a universal usable-space figure.
Samsung says all models support microSD expansion up to 2 TB, with the card sold separately. A card can add capacity for files and media, but Samsung’s cited product information does not establish that every app or workflow can use removable storage. Choose internal storage according to what you need readily available, and consider microSD supplementary capacity rather than a substitute for adequate onboard storage. Make the choice by matching model to use
- Decide whether the tablet needs its own mobile connection. If Wi-Fi or your phone’s hotspot covers your usual use, choose Wi-Fi. If you need the tablet to connect independently, investigate the 5G model.
- Check the exact local 5G SKU if you need cellular. Confirm that your carrier supports its bands and SIM or eSIM setup, and that an appropriate plan is available. Do not infer compatibility from another country’s listing.
- Pick internal storage based on what stays on the device. Consider your apps, downloads, media, and working files, then select a tier actually listed in your market.
- Decide whether removable storage helps your workflow. Samsung lists microSD support up to 2 TB, but the card is separate and should not be assumed to accommodate every app.
- Compare total local cost before checkout. Prices and inventory vary, and the 5G choice may involve a mobile plan. Check the current tablet price and any service cost for your intended use.
Account for accessories separately
Samsung describes the S Pen as included in the box. Its listed compatible accessories sold separately include the Pro Keyboard, Book Cover, Ultra-exclusive Frame Cover, Book Cover Keyboard Slim, and anti-reflecting screen protector. Add one only if you need its particular function—for example, typing, a cover or stand, or screen protection. Details are on Samsung Gulf’s product information.
Other specifications that may affect your decision
Samsung lists a 14.6-inch display with 2960 × 1848 resolution and states up to 23 hours of video playback. The playback figure is a manufacturer-stated maximum, not an independently measured or guaranteed real-world result. Samsung Gulf lists weights of 692 g for Wi-Fi and 695 g for 5G; those figures are manufacturer specifications for that regional product information. See Samsung UK and Samsung Gulf.
