The Samsung Galaxy S25 is the smaller, better-documented choice, with a dedicated telephoto camera and a stated security-update period through January 2032. The India-listed Moto G Max 5G is reported to offer a larger 120 Hz screen, a 200 MP main camera and a bigger battery, but its specifications have not been confirmed in Motorola material. Their listed prices—US dollars for the Samsung and Indian rupees for the Moto—are from different markets, so they do not establish a direct price difference.

Samsung Galaxy S25 vs Moto G Max 5G: market and model names

This comparison pairs the US-market Samsung Galaxy S25 with the Moto G Max 5G reported for India. The available Moto G Max 5G specifications and price come from NDTV Gadgets 360, not an official Motorola product page. Treat them as reported details rather than manufacturer-confirmed specifications.

Do not confuse Moto G Max 5G with Motorola’s US moto g (2025). That is a different model; its specifications and US launch price do not describe the Moto G Max 5G.

Which phone has the better display and size?

The Moto G Max 5G is the larger-screen option on the reported specifications: 6.72 inches versus the S25’s 6.2-inch full-rectangle measurement. Both are listed at 120 Hz, while Samsung specifies an AMOLED panel and FHD+ resolution for the S25. A larger display may suit video and browsing; the S25’s smaller dimensions are the clearer fit for someone prioritizing a more compact phone. These specifications do not establish which screen looks better in practice.

How do the cameras differ?

The camera setups emphasize different things. Samsung lists three rear cameras, including a 10 MP telephoto camera with 3× optical zoom, alongside a 50 MP main camera and a 12 MP camera. The reported Moto G Max 5G configuration is a 200 MP main camera plus an 8 MP rear camera. Its larger megapixel figure does not by itself establish better image quality, and the available specifications do not provide controlled side-by-side camera tests.

Samsung lists a 12 MP autofocus front camera and UHD 8K video recording at 30 fps. NDTV Gadgets 360 reports a 32 MP front camera for the Moto G Max 5G but does not state a comparable video-recording specification in the cited information.

Battery, durability and software support

Battery capacity is not a runtime comparison

The reported Moto battery is 5,200 mAh, compared with the S25’s 4,000 mAh typical capacity (3,885 mAh rated). Samsung also lists up to 29 hours of video playback for the S25 on its US specifications page, with usage conditions varying. Capacity and manufacturer playback figures are not a controlled comparison of everyday endurance, so they cannot establish which phone lasts longer for a particular user.

Protection ratings have different stated evidence

Samsung rates the US Galaxy S25 IP68 and describes testing in freshwater up to 1.5 m for up to 30 minutes. The company cautions that water resistance may diminish with normal wear. IP69 is reported for the Moto G Max 5G by NDTV Gadgets 360; Motorola confirmation was not located, so the rating should be treated as secondary-source information.

Samsung states a dated security-support period

Samsung lists the Galaxy S25’s security update period through 31 January 2032. The available Moto G Max 5G reporting identifies Android 16 but does not state a comparable software-support end date. An Android version alone does not show how long updates will continue.

What is the price difference?

Phone and market Listed price Source and qualification
Galaxy S25, United States $799.99 for 128 GB; $899.99 for 256 GB Samsung US shop listing; page prices can change
Moto G Max 5G, India ₹27,999 NDTV Gadgets 360 India listing; secondary-source price

These figures are not a like-for-like price comparison: they are in different currencies and markets, and may differ in taxes, storage configuration, carrier terms and promotions. Converting the amounts would not establish what either phone costs locally today or how their prices compare under matched retail conditions.

Which is better for you?

  • Choose the Galaxy S25 if you want the smaller phone, an AMOLED display, a dedicated 3× optical-zoom camera, or a stated security-update period through January 2032. Its cited US variant has 12 GB memory and 256 GB storage.
  • Consider the Moto G Max 5G if you are shopping in India and prioritize the reported larger display, 5,200 mAh battery, or 200 MP main camera. Confirm the model identity, specifications, availability and local price with a seller or Motorola before buying, because the available details are secondary reporting.

There is no sound universal winner from these listings: the Moto’s details are not officially confirmed in the available material, and the prices are not from the same market. Samsung also says a travel adapter is not included with the Galaxy S25; in-box contents may vary by region.
