Smartprix listed the Galaxy M17 5G at ₹17,910 and the realme P4R 5G at ₹19,997 in data last updated September 16, 2026. That makes the P4R ₹2,087 more expensive in that snapshot. Which phone has the better display?
The M17 has the stronger listed resolution and panel type: Samsung specifies a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display at 90Hz. Smartprix lists the P4R with a larger 6.81-inch HD+ LCD panel at 144Hz. In practical terms, the M17’s higher pixel resolution and AMOLED technology may appeal more for detail and contrast, while the P4R’s higher refresh-rate specification may appeal if smoother screen motion is your priority. Refresh rate alone does not establish overall display quality.

Which has better battery life and charging?
On capacity and charging wattage, the P4R leads on paper: realme specifies an 8000mAh battery and 45W fast charging, compared with Samsung’s 5000mAh battery and 25W charging for the M17. Samsung says the 25W charger is sold separately. Battery capacity and charging specifications do not establish how long either phone lasts in everyday use or how quickly it charges in all conditions; no controlled M17-versus-P4R endurance test is established here.
How do performance and cameras compare?
Processors
Samsung names the Exynos 1330 for the M17, while realme names the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 for the P4R. The chipset names alone do not support a reliable performance ranking. No controlled comparison establishes which phone is faster for gaming, apps or sustained workloads.

Cameras
Samsung lists a 50MP main camera with OIS, alongside 5MP and 2MP rear cameras, and a 13MP front camera. realme advertises a 50MP main rear camera; Smartprix lists an 8MP front camera. Megapixel counts and camera configuration do not establish which phone takes better photos. Samsung describes “No Shake Cam” as a creative expression for optical image stabilization and notes that results vary with lighting and shooting conditions. There is no verified camera test here to name a winner.

Samsung lists an IP54 rating and cautions that water and dust resistance is subject to wear and test-condition limits. realme advertises Android 16-based realme UI 7.0, IP65 and MIL-STD-810H shock resistance for the P4R. These are manufacturer claims and ratings, not proof that either phone is immune to damage.

Which phone is easier to carry?
Smartprix lists the M17 at 192g and 7.5mm thick, versus 224g and 8.8mm for the P4R. The M17 is therefore the lighter and slimmer listed device; the P4R pairs its larger listed battery with a heavier, thicker body.

- Recheck both prices before deciding: the ₹2,087 gap is specific to Smartprix’s September 16, 2026 snapshot, not a guaranteed current retail difference.
Samsung lists the Galaxy M17 launch date as October 10, 2025. Smartprix lists the P4R release date as June 10, 2026; that date is a comparison-site listing, not an independently confirmed launch notice.
