The Ai+ Nova 2 Ultra 5G lists a larger, higher-resolution display and a 6,000mAh battery, while the Samsung Galaxy M17 5G has a clearly stated long-term software commitment: six Android OS generations and six years of security updates. Samsung’s published launch prices are from October 2025, not confirmed current prices; Ai+’s official store listing shows higher prices for its 6GB and 8GB models. The choice comes down to display and listed hardware versus documented support—and buyers should verify Ai+’s inconsistent charging details before ordering.

Which phone has the better display?
On the listed specifications, the Nova 2 Ultra has the larger panel (6.78 inches versus Samsung’s 6.7-inch-class display), higher resolution (2772 × 1272 versus 1080 × 2340), and higher stated refresh rate (120Hz versus 90Hz). These are manufacturer-listed figures, so check the exact retail variant before purchase.
Those numbers describe size, pixel count, and refresh rate; they do not establish brightness, color accuracy, outdoor readability, or how consistently an app runs at the maximum refresh rate. The available information does not include comparable independent display measurements.

How do the processors and cameras compare?
Processor
The Galaxy M17 is identified with Samsung’s Exynos 1330, while Ai+ lists a MediaTek Dimensity 7400. Chip names and peak clock speeds alone cannot determine which phone feels faster in everyday use. No comparable independent benchmark or thermal test was established, so treat these as platform differences rather than a performance verdict.
Cameras
Both phones list a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization and a 13MP front camera. Samsung lists additional 5MP and 2MP rear cameras; Ai+ lists an 8MP wide-angle camera and identifies its main sensor as Sony IMX752. Sensor resolution and camera count do not establish image quality: processing, lens behavior, and video performance matter, and no controlled photo or video comparison is available here.

Battery capacity and charging: check Ai+’s listing carefully
Ai+ states a 6,000mAh battery, compared with Samsung’s 5,000mAh typical capacity. These are manufacturer figures, not measured endurance results; screen settings, network conditions, software, and use affect runtime.
Samsung specifies 25W charging. The Ai+ product page is internally inconsistent: its item details say an 18W charger is included, while another field claims 40W fast charging. Those statements do not establish a reliable charging rate. Confirm the exact phone variant, supported charging speed, and included adapter with the seller before paying. An independent comparison listing also differs from Ai+’s page on the phone’s IP rating, so do not rely on that disputed rating without confirmation.

Software support: Samsung publishes a specific commitment
Samsung says the Galaxy M17 receives six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates. Its product page gives a security update period through 30 September 2031. That is a documented support commitment, rather than a guarantee that every update arrives simultaneously in every market.
Ai+’s store listing shows Android 16, but the official material cited here does not establish an equivalent duration for OS upgrades or security updates. If keeping a phone for several years is important, ask Ai+ or the retailer for a written support policy before buying; do not assume a support term from the Android version alone.

Price difference in India: launch price is not today’s price
Samsung announced the Galaxy M17’s India launch prices on 13 October 2025. The ₹12,499 price for 4GB/128GB was described as a net price inclusive of a special launch offer. Ai+’s official store listing shows the following prices. These are not a like-for-like live-price comparison: one set is dated launch pricing and the other is a store listing that can change.

For an illustrative same-RAM comparison, Ai+’s listed 6GB/128GB model is ₹7,000 above Samsung’s dated 6GB/128GB launch price; the 8GB/128GB listing is ₹7,500 above Samsung’s dated 8GB/128GB launch price. These arithmetic differences compare the listed figures only—not current checkout totals, matched offers, or confirmed prices from the same date. Check the current seller, variant, discounts, and final price before deciding. Samsung’s launch announcement named Amazon among its sales channels, but availability and pricing can change.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Nova 2 Ultra if you prioritize the larger, higher-resolution display, its listed 120Hz refresh rate, the stated 6,000mAh battery, or want the Dimensity 7400 platform. These are specification-sheet advantages, not measured performance or battery-life results.
- Choose the Galaxy M17 if Samsung’s explicit six-generation OS-upgrade and six-year security-update commitment carries more weight, or if its current price and available configuration suit your budget.
- Do not choose on camera specifications alone. Both list a 50MP OIS main camera, but the available specifications do not show which takes better photos or video.
What to verify before ordering the Nova 2 Ultra
Ai+’s official store page is the primary source for its listed configurations and prices, but it contains conflicting secondary fields. Before checkout, confirm the exact SKU and RAM/storage, current price and seller, warranty terms, what accessories are included, the supported charging rate, and any IP rating you intend to rely on. The stated charger-in-box detail and fast-charging field do not agree, and an independent comparison source also reports a different IP rating; neither disputed detail should be treated as settled.
