What does the A57 add over the A37?
A higher-tier display designation, not a larger screen
Both phones have a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with refresh rates up to 120Hz and Vision Booster. Samsung labels the A57’s panel Super AMOLED+ and the A37’s Super AMOLED. That naming distinction is a documented spec difference; the official material cited here does not establish how much brighter, more accurate, or otherwise better the panels look side by side. Samsung’s U.S. launch table gives different viewable measurements—6.6 inches for A57 and 6.5 inches for A37—because it accounts for rounded corners differently.
A higher-resolution ultrawide camera
The A57’s ultrawide camera is 12MP, compared with 8MP on the A37. Both also list a 50MP main camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 12MP front camera. Megapixel count alone does not establish which phone takes better photos: Samsung’s published specifications do not provide an independent, controlled A57-versus-A37 camera test.

A slimmer, lighter body
Samsung lists the A57 at 179g and 6.9mm thick, versus 196g and 7.4mm for the A37. The A57 is therefore 17g lighter and 0.5mm thinner on those published measurements. Its listed length and width are also smaller.
More memory options in some markets
Memory and storage depend on the country and exact model. In the U.S. launch announcement, Samsung lists the A57 with 8GB RAM and either 128GB or 256GB storage; the A37 is listed with 6GB/128GB or 8GB/256GB. Samsung’s global announcement lists additional combinations: A57 with 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB, and A37 with 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB as well as its other configurations. Check the local product listing before comparing prices; a configuration sold in one market may not be offered in another. See Samsung’s global announcement.

What is the Galaxy A57 vs A37 price difference?
Samsung’s U.S. launch prices, announced March 25, 2026, were $549.99 for the A57 and $449.99 for the A37, a $100 gap. U.S. availability began April 9, 2026. Samsung’s announcement listed the A57 unlocked in Awesome Navy through Samsung Experience Stores and Samsung.com. It listed the A37 in Awesome Charcoal and Awesome Lavender through Samsung, with Charcoal also available at carriers, Graygreen at Best Buy, and White at Amazon.com. These are launch details, not a statement of current stock or checkout prices. See Samsung’s U.S. announcement.
For another market reference, Samsung’s U.K. announcement listed an A57 starting price of £529 for 256GB and an A37 starting price of £399 for 128GB. Because those are different storage configurations, the £130 difference is not a like-for-like price comparison. Prices and available models differ by country; do not treat either market’s launch figures as a global price. See Samsung’s U.K. availability announcement.

What do the phones share?
- Battery capacity: Both list a 5,000mAh typical battery. Samsung’s technical comparison lists 45W charging, but the official figures here do not establish comparative battery life under matched use.
- Software-support commitment: Samsung states up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates from each model’s first global launch. “Up to” is a maximum commitment, and timing can vary by model and market.
- Water and dust rating: Both are IP68-rated. Samsung says the rating is based on laboratory submersion in up to 1.5 meters of fresh water for up to 30 minutes. It does not recommend beach or pool use, and resistance may diminish over time; the phones should not be described as waterproof.
- One UI features: Samsung’s guide describes shared features including Voice Transcription, AI Select, Circle to Search improvements, and Object Eraser. It identifies Best Face as an A57 feature. Availability may depend on country or region, One UI version, model, carrier, and age restrictions. These are Samsung-described capabilities, not independent test results. See Samsung’s A57 guide.
Samsung says the A57 can reach 60% charge in about 30 minutes; this is the company’s stated claim, not an independent charging test. Samsung says the charger is sold separately. Its U.S. A57 listing says the box includes the phone, data cable, and ejection pin, but not a charger. See Samsung’s A57 listing.

Which phone should you choose?
Choose the A37 if the lower local price matters most
The A37 is the lower-cost choice at the U.S. launch prices. It retains the same listed screen size and maximum refresh rate, main and selfie camera resolutions, typical battery capacity, IP68 rating, and stated maximum support commitment. Check that the locally offered RAM and storage configuration meets your needs before comparing the final prices.
Consider the A57 if its specific upgrades justify the premium
The A57’s case is its Super AMOLED+ designation, higher-resolution ultrawide camera, and slimmer, lighter dimensions. It also has memory configurations in some markets that are not listed in the U.S. launch lineup. Whether those differences justify paying more depends on the actual local price gap and which features matter to you; the official specifications do not prove a general performance or photo-quality advantage.

What the published comparison does not establish
Samsung’s official specifications and launch materials establish the differences above, but they do not provide independent head-to-head benchmark results or controlled camera and battery-endurance comparisons. Samsung Colombia’s comparison identifies the regional models as SM-A576B (A57) and SM-A376B (A37), and says neither supports memory-card expansion; those model codes and details apply to that market and should not be assumed for every country. Its processor information is clock specifications, not a comparative benchmark. See Samsung Colombia’s comparison.
