Which phone has the better display?
The A36 has a Super AMOLED panel, while the Nord CE6 Lite has an LCD. That panel-type difference matters more than treating refresh rate as a complete measure of display quality: the Nord lists the higher rate at 144Hz versus 120Hz on the A36. OnePlus also lists 1,000-nit peak brightness for the Nord. The figures alone do not establish how the screens compare in every viewing condition.

Battery capacity and charging
The Nord CE6 Lite’s listed 7,000mAh battery is 2,000mAh larger than the A36’s 5,000mAh battery. Both are listed with 45W charging, with OnePlus specifying SUPERVOOC for its model. OnePlus says its phone can provide “up to 2 days of power” based on company test-lab results; it cautions that actual life varies with network, apps, settings, usage habits and device age. Capacity and charging specifications do not guarantee a particular runtime or charging time for an individual user.

OnePlus also reports an AnTuTu score of 1,030,000+ for an 8GB/256GB Nord CE6 Lite unit tested with AnTuTu Benchmark V11 in its specified test environment. This is a company test-lab figure, not an independent head-to-head performance result.
Storage flexibility and memory cards
The Nord CE6 Lite supports microSD cards up to 2TB, according to OnePlus India. The card slot shares one of the two SIM slots, so using a memory card affects dual-SIM use; the card is not included. The A36 has no expandable storage listed by 91mobiles, so buyers should choose its built-in capacity with that limitation in mind.
Camera specifications: what the numbers do and do not tell you
The comparison listing gives the A36 a 50MP, 8MP and 5MP rear-camera arrangement and a 12MP front camera. It lists a 50MP and 2MP rear setup and an 8MP front camera for the Nord; OnePlus also specifies 4K video recording. These are hardware and feature listings, not evidence that one phone takes better photos. No controlled side-by-side camera results are available here.

91mobiles showed ₹28,999 on Amazon India for the Nord CE6 Lite in its opened comparison page. That is a third-party price snapshot, not a manufacturer-confirmed current price. The same comparison source showed inconsistent price information elsewhere, and OnePlus’s India product page does not state a current checkout price. OnePlus described the phone at launch in India on 7 May 2026 as belonging to the ₹20,000–₹25,000 segment; that launch positioning is not its current retail price.
Because the Nord figure is not a reliable live quote and the listings may differ in configuration, seller, offer or stock, these sources do not establish a dependable current price difference. Compare the exact RAM/storage variant for each phone on the same day, and check seller, discount conditions and availability before treating either price as a real saving.
Which phone should you choose?
Choose the Samsung Galaxy A36 5G if
- You prioritize a Super AMOLED display.
- The longer update period listed for the A36 matters to you.
- You are comfortable choosing among the built-in storage options without microSD expansion.
Choose the OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite 5G if
- You value its larger stated battery capacity and 144Hz listed refresh rate.
- You want the option to add up to 2TB of microSD storage and can spare the shared SIM slot.
- You accept an LCD panel and the shorter support durations listed by the comparison source.
There is no evidence here for a universal winner on camera quality, real-world battery life or overall speed. Make the decision around the features you value and the current like-for-like India price.
