1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesNeither Funio nor GreenGeeks is an evidence-based universal winner. Funio’s published shared plans spell out more resource limits, while GreenGeeks publishes tiered storage, nightly-backup and uptime claims, data-center regions, and a renewable-energy matching claim. The practical choice is the exact plan that fits your site, audience, and budget after you compare the full checkout and renewal costs—not a headline discount.
How the published shared plans compare
The figures below are from the providers’ public pages checked on October 7, 2026. They are plan listings, not a guarantee that an offer or term will be available in every region. Confirm the exact plan and checkout terms before buying.

| Provider and plan | Websites or domains | Storage | Bandwidth | Other published limits | Displayed price information |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Funio Economic | 1 website | 20 GB | 250 GB | 100 email accounts; 10 databases | $5.83/month, shown against $11.65/month; the page labels this “50% OFF FIRST MONTH.” |
| Funio Unlimited | Unlimited websites | Advertised as unlimited | Advertised as unlimited | Unlimited email and databases; up to 512 MB RAM and 1 CPU | $11.13/month displayed as a first-month promotion. |
| Funio Startup | Not stated on the cited shared-plan listing | Not stated on the cited shared-plan listing | Not stated on the cited shared-plan listing | Up to 896 MB RAM and 1.5 CPU | $20.67/month displayed as a first-month promotion. |
| Funio SMB | Not stated on the cited shared-plan listing | Not stated on the cited shared-plan listing | Not stated on the cited shared-plan listing | Up to 1 GB RAM and 2 CPUs | $30.21/month displayed as a first-month promotion. |
| GreenGeeks Lite | 1 hosted domain | 25 GB | Unmetered, as described by GreenGeeks | Other resource caps not stated on the cited pricing page | Discounted pricing is described as up to 70% when a longer term is chosen; the cited page does not establish a universal checkout or renewal amount. |
| GreenGeeks Pro | Unlimited hosted domains | 50 GB | Unmetered, as described by GreenGeeks | Other resource caps not stated on the cited pricing page | Discounted pricing is described as up to 70% when a longer term is chosen; the cited page does not establish a universal checkout or renewal amount. |
| GreenGeeks Premium | Unlimited hosted domains | 100 GB | Unmetered, as described by GreenGeeks | Other resource caps not stated on the cited pricing page | Discounted pricing is described as up to 70% when a longer term is chosen; the cited page does not establish a universal checkout or renewal amount. |
Funio’s public listing gives the clearest plan-level CPU and RAM figures among these pages, but it does not provide enough detail here to fill every resource cell for every tier. “Unlimited” and “unmetered” are provider labels, not a promise of infinite capacity; check the applicable terms and acceptable-use limits. GreenGeeks’ page distinguishes its tiers by storage and hosted-domain count, but does not state the other resource caps in the material cited here.

#1 Best Overall
What will the hosting cost after the promotion?
Do not compare the displayed monthly figures as though they were equivalent recurring prices. Funio labels its listed discounts as first-month offers. GreenGeeks says its discounts can depend on choosing a longer term. The published figures do not establish a like-for-like total for the same billing duration, locale, taxes, or renewal period.
- Choose the billing duration you would actually buy, such as one or multiple years.
- Check the checkout page for the amount due now, the length of the promotional period, taxes, and any required upfront payment.
- Find the renewal price and renewal frequency for that exact plan and term; calculate the total cost over the period you expect to keep the site.
- Compare the resulting totals in the same currency and region, and confirm whether add-ons are optional or included.
Both providers’ pricing can change, so the checkout summary and current plan terms matter more than an advertised discount.
Which host fits your site’s capacity needs?
Choose around the site count and workload
For a single small site, Funio Economic publishes explicit allowances of one website, 20 GB of storage, 250 GB of bandwidth, 100 email accounts, and 10 databases. GreenGeeks Lite publishes one hosted domain and 25 GB of storage. These figures make it possible to compare some basics, but not every resource is specified on both pages.
Recommended Free Tools
If you need multiple sites, Funio Unlimited and GreenGeeks Pro or Premium all advertise multiple or unlimited hosted sites/domains. The wording is not identical, and it does not establish how much CPU, memory, or traffic a real workload can use. Funio lists CPU and RAM figures for its Unlimited, Startup, and SMB tiers; GreenGeeks’ cited shared-pricing page does not state equivalent figures. For a busy site or resource-intensive application, ask each provider which usage limits apply to the exact plan before choosing.
Check the less-visible requirements
- Storage: Estimate site files, media, email, databases, and growth rather than choosing by domain count alone.
- Traffic: Treat “unlimited” or “unmetered” as plan wording; verify how the provider handles unusually high usage.
- Email and databases: Funio Economic lists account and database caps. Confirm the corresponding limits for the plan you are considering with either host.
- Performance resources: Compare CPU and memory allocations where published, and request the missing limits when they matter to your application.
Backups: verify Funio’s retention and GreenGeeks’ restore terms
Funio’s shared-plan page lists 48 hours of backup retention for Economic and seven days for Unlimited, Startup, and SMB. A separate Funio comparison page says all plans include backups with 14 days of retention. These official pages conflict, so the retention period for a particular Funio plan is not settled by the public information cited here. Confirm the exact plan’s retention and restore terms in writing or in the current account terms.
GreenGeeks says accounts are backed up nightly. That is a provider statement; it does not, by itself, establish how long copies are retained, what restoration costs, or what recovery guarantee applies. Ask about those details if you rely on backups for business continuity.

Support, server regions, and provider claims
Support channels are not response-time evidence
Funio lists 24/7 support and cPanel among its inclusions. GreenGeeks says support is available 24×7 by live chat, phone, and support tickets; its policy also identifies matters requiring particular ticket handling or falling outside support scope. These published channels do not establish comparative response times, customer satisfaction, or support quality. Check whether the kind of help you need is covered before signing up.

Match location to your audience
GreenGeeks names data-center regions in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, and describes four global data-center locations. The closest available region may be relevant to your audience, but the material here does not show a direct latency comparison with Funio. Check which location is available for the plan and region you intend to purchase.
Read uptime and sustainability figures as company statements
GreenGeeks states a 99.9% uptime guarantee and says every watt used is matched 300% by renewable energy. These are GreenGeeks’ claims, not independently verified measurements or an audit established by the cited pages. The gathered information does not establish Funio’s comparable environmental footprint. If uptime commitments affect your decision, read the guarantee’s terms and remedies rather than treating the figure as proof of observed availability.

Which should you choose?
Funio may fit if…
- You want its listed shared tiers, cPanel, and more explicit published CPU and RAM figures on some plans.
- The selected plan’s site, storage, bandwidth, email, and database limits fit your needs.
- You have confirmed the exact backup retention and restore terms, given the discrepancy between Funio’s pages.
GreenGeeks may fit if…
- You want its published Lite, Pro, and Premium storage tiers and hosted-domain distinctions.
- Nightly backups, its named data-center regions, or its renewable-energy matching claim are important to you, and you have checked the relevant terms.
- You have compared the cost for your intended term with the renewal amount at checkout.
There is no current controlled Funio-versus-GreenGeeks benchmark established by these sources. TechRadar’s November 26, 2025 GreenGeeks review reports that publication’s own GreenGeeks tests, but it is not a direct comparison with Funio and cannot establish which host is faster or more reliable today. Choose on verified plan fit and contract cost, not an unsupported performance verdict.
