There is no developer-confirmed fix list for the Full Metal Hell demo yet. The official Steam listing provides the demo and Windows PC requirements, but it does not document a known performance bug, graphics setting, driver version, launch option, crash-log location, or guaranteed remedy. Start by comparing your PC with those requirements, then collect precise symptom and system information before changing anything. The checks below are general diagnostics—not tested, game-specific fixes—and the live listing should be checked for updates before you rely on it.
What the official listing actually confirms
Full Metal Hell’s Steam listing identifies 7 Egg Games as the developer and publisher and describes the game as a roguelite shooter with vehicles, weapons, items, active abilities, and physics-based collisions. It advertises a downloadable demo and lists a planned Q4 2026 release window for the full game. Availability, requirements, and the release timetable can change, so use the live page for the current status.

The demo description says it contains six vehicles, more than 30 weapons, more than 100 items, and five difficulty levels. Those content counts do not constitute a performance benchmark. The listing publishes no target resolution, target frame rate, graphics-memory requirement, DirectX version, or recommended graphics card.

Meeting a store requirement means only that your hardware is in the listed class; it does not promise a particular frame rate or smooth frame pacing. A PC can meet the minimum and still struggle at a high resolution, while a system above the recommended CPU and memory level can have a driver, thermal, storage, or game-build problem.

| Component | Minimum listed tier | Recommended listed tier |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10 | Windows 11 |
| Processor | Intel Core i3-6100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 | Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5; the listing does not name a specific generation or model |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 560 | Not stated |
| Storage | 2 GB available storage | 2 GB available storage |
The graphics row is especially important: the minimum names two cards, but the recommended tier names no GPU at all. Do not treat the minimum GTX 1060 or RX 560 as a buying recommendation, and do not infer a recommended card from it. The 2 GB figure is the listed available-storage requirement, not a prediction of download size, texture-cache growth, or free space needed by Windows.
Build a useful symptom record before troubleshooting
“Low FPS,” “stutter,” and “crash” describe different failure modes. Write down the following while the problem is reproducible:
- CPU model, GPU model, installed RAM, Windows edition and version, monitor resolution, refresh rate, and whether the game is installed on an SSD or hard drive.
- Whether the PC fits the minimum tier, the recommended CPU/RAM tier, or neither.
- Average frame rate if you can measure it, but also whether the image pauses briefly, fluctuates during effects, or feels uneven despite a high average.
- The exact trigger: launch, loading a run, entering a vehicle, a collision, a particular weapon or ability, changing difficulty, alt-tabbing, or an apparently random moment.
- Whether the issue began after a game update, Windows update, graphics-driver change, hardware change, or new background software.
- The complete error text, crash dialog, or Windows event timestamp. A screenshot is useful, but copy the text as well.
This record prevents a component from being blamed simply because it is the most visible specification. It also gives the developer enough context to distinguish a reproducible game defect from a machine-specific problem.
Safe baseline checks (diagnostic, not confirmed Full Metal Hell fixes)
The official listing is a store page rather than a technical-support article. None of the following checks is documented there as a guaranteed solution. Use them to narrow the cause, changing one variable at a time so you know what affected the result.
1. Make sure the demo is current
- Open Steam and select Library.
- Right-click the Full Metal Hell demo, choose Properties, and open Updates.
- Allow any pending download to finish, then restart Steam if it reports that an update is queued.
If the problem started immediately after an update, record the build date and symptom change rather than assuming the update caused it. A later patch may alter the result.
2. Check the installation through Steam
- In the game’s Properties window, choose Installed Files.
- Select Verify integrity of game files and wait for Steam to complete the scan.
- Launch the demo once after the scan finishes. If files were reacquired, note that in your symptom record.
This checks local files; it does not repair a defective game build, unsupported hardware, or a Windows problem.
3. Close unusually heavy background work
Pause video encoding, large downloads, virtual machines, browser tabs running intensive content, and overlays you do not need for the test. Keep a note of what you closed. A change after closing one process is a clue about resource contention, not proof that the demo has a specific incompatibility with that application.

4. Use a normal, current graphics driver
Check for a driver through the official support channel for your NVIDIA or AMD card and record the installed version. Avoid third-party “driver updater” and “PC cleaner” utilities; the available game information does not support them as remedies. If the issue began after a driver update, testing the previous known-good driver may be reasonable under the manufacturer’s own rollback procedure, but label the result as an experiment.
5. Restart and retest under the same conditions
After an update or driver change, reboot Windows, launch only Steam and the demo, and repeat the same sequence that produced the issue. Keep resolution, display mode, and graphics options unchanged for this first comparison.
When the symptom is low FPS
Separate a sustained limit from a short drop
If the frame rate is low from the menu onward, compare the measured result with the GPU and CPU tiers rather than changing many settings at once. If it is acceptable until vehicles, collisions, or heavy combat effects appear, record the exact scene and whether the drop affects one core or the GPU. The listing confirms that the game includes physics-based collisions and multiple combat systems, but it supplies no load measurements, so this observation is not a published benchmark.
Test resolution and display mode methodically
- Record your current resolution, refresh rate, and display mode.
- If the demo exposes a resolution selector, test one lower resolution for the same scene.
- If it exposes fullscreen, borderless, or windowed modes, test one alternative while leaving other settings unchanged.
- Return to the original setting after the comparison and record whether the change affected average FPS, frame-time consistency, or neither.
The store listing does not document the demo’s graphics menu, so a particular option or menu path cannot be promised. If no usable graphics controls are present, do not invent launch parameters or edit undocumented configuration files.
Check for a CPU-, GPU-, or memory-bound pattern
- A GPU near full utilization with low frame rate suggests that resolution or visual effects may be the limiting workload; lowering a setting is a diagnostic test, not a confirmed fix.
- A CPU thread that remains saturated while the GPU has headroom points toward processor-side work, background tasks, or an engine bottleneck.
- Memory pressure, paging, or a nearly full system drive can produce pauses that look like low FPS. Compare the result with the 8 GB minimum and 16 GB recommended memory listings, but do not infer that adding RAM will solve a particular crash or stutter.
Use a monitoring tool already trusted on your PC, capture a short repeatable run, and avoid installing a new utility solely to produce a screenshot. No independent Full Metal Hell benchmark is available.
When the symptom is stuttering
Distinguish frame-time spikes from network or input delay
A stutter is a visible pause or uneven cadence. Network latency and controller delay can feel similar but require different evidence. Note whether the image itself freezes, whether audio repeats, whether input continues to register, and whether the pause occurs at the same in-game event. The official listing does not state that the demo is online-only or publish networking requirements, so do not diagnose a connection problem from the title alone.
Use a repeatable route
- Start a fresh run or the same available demo scenario.
- Perform the same actions in the same order, such as entering a vehicle or triggering an ability.
- Record the elapsed time and the exact event at each pause.
- Repeat after closing background tasks, after a reboot, and after verifying files—one change per test.
If stutters move when the route changes, they may be workload-related; if they occur at the same event every time, include that event in a report. Neither pattern proves a specific engine bug without developer confirmation.

Check overlays and capture software as variables
Temporarily disable nonessential overlays, recording, or monitoring hooks using their own settings, then retest. Restore them afterward if they are important to you. A change under this test indicates an interaction on that PC; it does not establish a universal incompatibility.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsWhen the demo crashes
Classify the crash point
- Before a window appears: record whether Steam reports an error, whether the process briefly appears in Task Manager, and whether Windows logs an application fault.
- During loading: note the level or run state, whether the crash follows file verification, and whether storage space is unusually low.
- During play: capture the action, vehicle, weapon, item, ability, or collision immediately beforehand.
- When changing settings or alt-tabbing: record the old and new display mode, resolution, and monitor arrangement.
Collect evidence without deleting files blindly
Save the crash dialog text, Windows event timestamp, Steam verification result, driver version, and a short reproduction sequence. The listing does not publish a save-file location, crash-log path, launch option, or developer-endorsed bug-report format. Do not delete saves or configuration folders based on an internet guess; first make a backup and use a path confirmed by the developer.
Test one conservative change
After recording the baseline, try one reversible change—such as closing an overlay, returning to a standard display mode, or restoring a recently changed driver—then repeat the same trigger. If the crash disappears, report exactly what changed and whether it remains fixed after a restart. Avoid registry edits, unofficial DLL downloads, compatibility shims, and “cleaner” software when there is no documented need.
Decision guide for the next step
| Finding | What it tells you | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Below the minimum OS, CPU, RAM, or GPU tier | The PC is outside the configuration named by the listing. | Record the mismatch; do not expect a settings tweak to provide a reliable result. |
| Meets minimum but not the recommended CPU/RAM tier | The listing places the machine in the supported minimum class, not a guaranteed smooth-performance class. | Measure FPS and frame times at a fixed resolution and report the scene where performance falls. |
| Meets the listed CPU/RAM tiers but GPU is unknown relative to the unstated recommendation | The recommended graphics baseline cannot be inferred from the page. | Provide the exact GPU model, driver version, resolution, and measurements instead of labeling it “recommended.” |
| Files reacquired and the issue changes | A local-file problem was possible. | Retest after restarting Steam and document which files were replaced if Steam reports that information. |
| Issue reproduces after baseline checks | No confirmed self-service fix is established by the listing. | Use the current Steam Discussions link on the game page and include your complete reproduction record. |
How to report a reproducible problem
Open the game’s current Steam page and follow its visible Discussions or support links; the available listing links to Steam discussions, but it does not establish a current issue tracker or a required report template. Include:
- Windows version, CPU, GPU, driver version, RAM, resolution, display mode, and storage type.
- Whether the PC meets the minimum or recommended entries shown on the listing.
- Demo version or update date, if Steam displays it.
- Exact steps from launch to the low-FPS drop, stutter, or crash.
- Frequency, whether a restart changes it, complete error text, and any file-verification result.
- What you changed between tests and whether the symptom returned.
Do not post serial numbers, product keys, personal folders, or unredacted diagnostic files containing personal information. If the developer publishes a verified support address or bug-report format later, follow that channel instead of relying on an old discussion thread.

What not to conclude from the requirements
- The minimum GPU line is not evidence that buying that card will deliver a specific FPS.
- The recommended Windows 11, Intel i5/AMD Ryzen 5, and 16 GB RAM entries do not guarantee smooth performance because no target FPS, resolution, or recommended GPU is supplied.
- A single crash does not prove that the demo is incompatible with your PC; a repeatable sequence and error details are needed.
- A common Windows or driver checklist is not a Full Metal Hell developer fix unless 7 Egg Games documents it or the result is independently tested and clearly identified as a local workaround.
As of the official listing accessed October 13, 2026, no named benchmark, crash rate, performance test, or game-specific troubleshooting bulletin is available. Check the live Steam page immediately before publishing or troubleshooting for changed requirements, a new demo build, developer announcements, or an official support path.
