Bootstrap offers a ready-made sign-in layout you can adapt, but a login page template is only the interface: it does not verify identities or create a working sign-in flow by itself. The exact design called “Login Page V04” could not be verified, so this guide covers confirmed Bootstrap sign-in examples and how to assess a free template before integrating it.
What a Bootstrap login page template does—and does not—do
A template supplies front-end structure and styling: typically fields for an email address and password, a button, and sometimes controls such as “Remember me” or a password-recovery link. It can give a project a useful starting point, but the visible form does not authenticate anyone on its own.

A working sign-in experience also needs application behavior: sending credentials securely to an authentication service, verifying them, handling sessions, displaying errors, and supporting account recovery where applicable. Those pieces must come from your application or a service you integrate. Colorlib makes this limitation explicit for its Login Form 5 example: “The user won’t log in to your website from this login page because it is not fully functional.” Colorlib’s template roundup attributes the page to Aigars Silkalns and gives a publication date of September 28, 2026.
Confirmed Bootstrap sign-in examples
Bootstrap v5.2 examples
Bootstrap’s v5.2 examples collection includes “Sign-in” as a custom form layout. The page identifies its documentation as v5.2.3. It also states that Bootstrap code is MIT-licensed and its documentation is CC BY 3.0; check the relevant terms for the specific files and materials you use.

Bootstrap v5.3 sign-in
The surfaced v5.3 sign-in example shows a compact form with an email address input, password input, “Remember me” control, and “Sign in” button. Treat it as an example of a minimal interface, not a complete authentication implementation.
How to choose a free login layout

- Framework compatibility: Confirm the Bootstrap version, if any, and whether the download is standalone or depends on framework files, plugins, or other assets. Do not assume that a template described as compatible with one version has been tested in your project.
- Form design: Check whether the form supports the identifiers your application uses (email, username, or both), and whether it includes useful links such as password recovery or registration.
- Usability and accessibility: Look for visible labels, keyboard-operable controls, clear error placement, responsive behavior on narrow screens, and controls large enough to use on a phone. Test the actual rendered form rather than relying on a preview image.
- Functionality: Determine whether the files only render a form or include integration with an authentication system. Ask what server-side code, session handling, validation, and recovery behavior remain to be built.
- License and attribution: Read the license attached to the exact download. Confirm whether commercial use is allowed, whether a credit link must remain, and whether third-party demos or embedded assets have separate terms.
- Customization effort: Estimate the time needed to match your branding, adjust styles, implement validation and errors, and connect the form to your authentication flow.
What to verify in a template download
Colorlib’s September 28, 2026 roundup says it presents 36 form templates with demos and downloads. The publisher says its rebuilt older forms and newer forms use plain HTML, CSS, and a few lines of vanilla JavaScript, without jQuery, Bootstrap files, or plugins, and can be used independently or in Bootstrap 4, 5, or 6 layouts. It also states that the listed downloads are free for personal and commercial use under CC BY 3.0 if the credit link is retained. These are the publisher’s statements about its roundup, not a substitute for checking the terms and dependencies on the specific asset you download.
