If your TV-provider login is not working in the FOX Sports app on a television or streaming device, first switch to FOX One. FOX ended the FOX Sports app on TVs and connected devices on May 7, 2026. The FOX Sports app remains available on phones and tablets. In FOX One, choose Connect Provider and sign in with the provider account tied to an eligible subscription that includes FOX networks.
Use the steps below to identify whether the problem is the app, activation flow, provider credentials, or subscription eligibility.

1. Check whether you are using the right app for your device
FOX says the FOX Sports app on TVs and connected devices was discontinued on May 7, 2026, and FOX One took its place. This affects Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV and Google TV, Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Vizio, and Xbox. The FOX Sports app remains available on phones and tablets. FOX’s transition FAQ explains the change.

- TV or streaming device: Open or install FOX One rather than trying to authenticate in the discontinued FOX Sports TV app.
- Phone or tablet: The FOX Sports app remains a separate option. FOX also lists FOX One for iOS and Android.
FOX lists FOX One support for Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Google TV, Android TV, Samsung, LG, Vizio, and Xbox, as well as iOS and Android. Compatibility can depend on the exact device and operating system; FOX’s list does not specify every model or software version. See FOX One’s platform information.

2. Connect your TV provider in FOX One
- Open FOX One on your TV or connected device.
- Select Connect Provider.
- Choose your TV provider and follow the on-screen sign-in steps.
- After provider authentication, allow the app to refresh. FOX says the device should sign in automatically after the provider login is complete.
FOX says an eligible TV-provider login can give access to FOX One at no extra cost. Eligibility matters: the subscription must include the FOX networks or content you are trying to watch. An internet account, or a provider-branded username by itself, does not establish that the subscription includes access. Check FOX’s FAQ on using a TV-provider login with FOX One.
3. Complete activation if the TV displays a code
Some devices ask you to finish sign-in on a phone or computer. Follow the prompt displayed by FOX One:

4. Separate a password problem from an access problem
If you forgot your provider username or password
Recover the credentials through your TV provider. An older FOX Sports FAQ directs viewers with missing or forgotten provider credentials to the pay-TV provider; recovery steps vary by provider. FOX Sports’ FAQ provides that general direction.

If the provider accepts your login but FOX One still denies access
Ask the provider to confirm that the account is active and the subscription includes the FOX networks or content you are trying to stream. FOX’s eligibility guidance is the relevant distinction: successful provider sign-in alone does not guarantee that a particular plan includes FOX access.
If you cannot finish the FOX One sign-in flow
Make sure you have selected the provider connection option inside FOX One and completed any code or QR activation request shown on the TV. If the flow remains blocked, contact FOX Help. FOX’s current help pages do not provide a detailed error-by-error authentication chart, so an error message alone may not identify whether the issue is with FOX One or the provider account.
